I'm recruiting for a telecommunications and defence company in Gloucester who are looking for a Senior RF Engineer.

The work involves development of RF circuitry in Microwave Office / Altium up to 6GHz for power amplifiers. Any knowledge of high-speed/high-power switching, power amplifiers or filtering is beneficial.

ROLE: Senior RF Engineer

LOCATION:Gloucester

SALARY: up to 90,000

Essential skills for the Senior RF Engineer are:

  • RF design up to 6GHz
  • Microwave office / Altium proficiency
  • Power amplifiers, high-speed / high-power switching
  • Ability for basic UK clearance (UK or NATO passport)

Beneficial skills:

  • LabView

Polytec are looking for a Team Leader for our client based just north of Cambridge. This role involves some travelling therefore you will need to have a full, clean driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities:

* Managing a team of RF design engineers
* Technical design and specification of RF circuitry
* Technical requirements analysis
* Resolution of design and integration issues
* Type approval support
* Technical support to end customers
* Regular reporting to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

* Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or similar
* Extensive experience in RF design and development
* In-depth knowledge of RF systems and technologies
* Proven leadership experience, managing and mentoring engineering teams
* Excellent project management skills
* Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficiency in RF design tools and software
