Our client, a leading manufacturer within the commercial interiors building product sector is recruiting for a Fire Testing and Certification Lead to join the team in a senior, hands-on office-based role in Hampshire.
This position is ideal for a professional who understands the technical, regulatory, and practical aspects of fire safety product testing and certification, and is ready to hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the company’s fire product testing programme, overseeing product compliance, and ensuring the meeting of rigorous requirements of third-party certification. A high level of accountability and attention to detail is expected, as this role is essential to ensuring ongoing compliance and supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee production of the product at the manufacturing facility to ensure full compliance with test evidence and certification parameters.
- Provide customer-facing support as required — answering technical queries from clients regarding test evidence, certification scope, installation limitations, and compliance.
- Attend off-site fire testing, including overnight stays as required (expenses covered).
To apply we are seeking someone with proven experience in fire safety product testing, passive fire protection, or a closely related compliance / technical role.
As well as being proficient in CAD software with the ability to produce and review accurate technical drawings and being organised and methodical, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
This is a high-expectation role and would suit a confident individual looking to step into a position with real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact on fire safety compliance within a reputable company.
You will be given autonomy and responsibility from day one, with support from experienced colleagues where needed. Perform high-quality mammograms for breast cancer screening
Support assessment clinics, including stereotactic biopsies

Your main responsibilites will be to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Dorplan’s product testing and R&D programmes. Alongsdie theis, you will ensure new and existing products are compliant, commercially viable, and aligned to evolving market requirements. This position has a focys on testing strategy, certification collaboration, technical documentation and project-based delivery.
This is a permanent position paying between £40k - £55k per year DOE! Working hours consist of 7:30AM - 5PM Monday to Friday with a 45 min lunch break!
Job Duties Include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementation of product development and testing programmes, keeping on track with R&D/ NPD roadmap
- Manage testing process including scoping, quoting, negotiating to run with best testing provider
- Complete detailed technical documentation and forms required for certification or testing
- Carry out testing in line with agreed strategy, including ad-hoc testing for project-specific needs
- Project manage the testing of new products, including handling quotes, ordering, scheduling and full coordination of preparation and delivery
- Maintain and track the R&D budget, and project costs for annual reporting
- Collaborate with the Technical team on cross-department projects for product or process improvement
- Work with Supply Chain and Technical to explore new suppliers and product lines, identifying commercial or operational gains.
- Work with certification bodies to create new product scopes and ensure alignment with market and regulatory requirements
- Produce or resource CAD designing and technical drawings for testing, customer, and internal use
The type of candidate they're looking for has:
- Previous experience in a technical, R&D, or testing role (preferably in fire doors, construction, or building products)
- Familiarity with UK certification schemes for fire doors preferred (e.g. EN1634-1, BD476)
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness

Overview of day to day responsibilities:
- Have a strong presence in the factory.

- Conduct internal training and provide guidance on quality assurance principles and practices.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and documentation of audit findings and actions.

- Support the implementation of the Quality Plan focusing on GMP, hygiene, traceability and the audit schedule.
