Overview
We are currently recruiting General Operatives for a range of leading companies across multiple sites in the Belfast area. These roles offer a great opportunity to gain experience in both port and warehouse environments, supporting the efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods.
Position: Adhoc Workers- General Operatives/ Warehouse Operatives
Location: Belfast
Duration: Temporary Ongoing (Shifts will be confirmed on a Weekly/ Daily Basis)
Rate of Pay: £12.21 to £2.50 per hour with some companies offering overtime at weekends and after 6pm ( 5.34 per hour )
Shifts- Monday to Friday- 8am to 5pm
- Saturdays and Sundays- 12:30pm to 8:30pm
- Monday to Friday- 4 hour shift
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles, ships, or containers using manual handling or equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet trucks).
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch accurately and efficiently.
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries , ensuring correct documentation and stock rotation.
- General labouring tasks , including moving materials, site clean-up, and supporting skilled workers as required.
- Operating machinery and tools , following site safety protocols and proper procedures (training provided if necessary).
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment , indoors and outdoors.
- Following health and safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Flexible working across multiple sites and adapting to varying tasks in port, warehouse, or general industrial settings.
- Previous experience in port, warehouse, or general labouring work
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
- Flexible with shifts and able to work across multiple sites
- Good understanding of health & safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Basic English communication skills
- Eligible to work in the UK
- CSR Card
Note: Our client will supply PPE (Not including Safety Boots) and undertake Drug & Alcohol Tests unannounced.
