An established and highly regarded Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit a newly qualified Litigation Solicitor to join its growing team in Barnsley. This opportunity would suit someone looking to build a well-rounded litigation career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
You will handle a varied caseload of litigation matters, with the chance to gain exposure to contentious probate work, although this experience isn’t essential. You’ll take on direct responsibility for client matters with the support of a friendly and experienced team.
Key responsibilities include
 • Managing and progressing your own caseload of litigation files
 • Assisting senior solicitors with complex client work
 • Maintaining excellent client care and communication throughout each matter

 You must either be qualified, currently training to be qualified or unqualified but with years of experience in all aspects of conveyancing and can basically hit the ground running with your own case load and supported by an assistant.
 
 Your caseload would be an interesting mix of all conveyancing including NewBuild, leasehold, freehold etc and the size of the caseload will depend on the actual fee earner and the capability.

Our client is seeking a qualified lawyer who has experience in Childcare Law from either private or local authority and is looking for the next step in their career.
The main duties of the successful Childcare Lawyer will include:
- Handling a caseload of mainly child protection cases and pre-proceedings matters.
- Undertaking advocacy on behalf of the council.
- Advising Social Services clients face-to-face and in writing, on all aspects of relevant legislation.
- Prepare all legal documentation relevant to the caseload, and in particular prepare a wide variety of court documents, advise on social care law, and assist the Senior Social Care Lawyers and Principal Lawyer in relation to the most complex or specialised matters as and when required.
- Carry out legal research.
Experience required for the Childcare Lawyer role:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal executive
