Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a dynamic, collaborative and driven Agile Delivery Lead to oversee agile development projects as well as leading the agile delivery function in line with strategic direction. The Agile Delivery Lead oversees projects that follow agile methodology governing delivery from requirements inception all the way into and including production being a buffer between the business and the agile delivery teams.

Alongside this the Agile Delivery Lead will play a key part in constructing an Agile Delivery framework fit for the business as well as being a key leader in the transition to this framework.

Please note candidates must be within commuting distance of our Weybridge office as you will operate in a hybrid setting, 2 days onsite - 3 days WFH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and assisting the Product Owners, especially with respect to refinement and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Ensure the appropriate level of resource and expertise is in place and that this is structured in the most effective way to deliver the strategy.
  • Advocate for Agile principles and practices, leading teams in the adoption of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, and ensuring consistent implementation across projects

Requirements

  • Must have significant relevant experience in IT Delivery Roles, including experience in 24/7 high-availability multi-site enterprise environment
  • Experience in delivering projects E2E from requirements inception through to production
  • Experience in Projection Management practices that lend themselves to Agile WoW
  • Experience in managing production releases, working with partner and digging into runbooks as and when needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft stacks
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a DevOps / Continuous Delivery framework through the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Previous experience of implementing and rolling out Agile within an organisation
  • Experience of onboarding suppliers/partners/business areas into the scrum/agile methodology
  • Experience of managing external and internal parties as combined scrum teams
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)
