Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Agronomist to drive advancements in precision agriculture, operating on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for developing and implementing cutting-edge strategies to optimize crop yields, improve resource efficiency, and promote sustainable farming practices. You will lead research initiatives, analyze data from various sources including sensors and satellite imagery, and provide expert advice to agricultural operations. Key responsibilities include designing and conducting field trials, developing data-driven recommendations for planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest management, and contributing to the development of new agricultural technologies. You will also mentor junior agronomists and collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or PhD degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Soil Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in agronomy, preferably with a focus on precision agriculture techniques. Proven experience with farm management software, data analytics platforms, GIS software, and sensor technologies is essential. A strong understanding of crop physiology, soil science, and sustainable agricultural practices is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are paramount for this remote position, enabling effective collaboration with farmers and researchers. You must be adept at interpreting complex datasets and translating them into actionable insights for agricultural decision-making.
