The Opportunity
We're recruiting for highly skilled architectural technicians to join one of the world's leading design and engineering consultancies. With a strong pipeline of secured work across the UK nuclear and defence landscape working on front-end design.
You'll be part of an expert, multidisciplinary team working on high-value defence facilities, secure government estates, and nuclear-grade installations. Whether you specialise in front-end concept design or technical delivery through RIBA Stage 3/4+, your expertise will directly support national capability and resilience.
The Role
We're looking for adaptable, detail-driven professionals who can operate effectively in secure, fast-paced environments. You'll be hands-on in delivering architecture that must meet exacting standards - functionally, securely, and with longevity in mind. Collaboration with engineers, security consultants, and project managers will be central to your role.
What You'll Need
·ARC qualified architectural technician
·Strong capability in either concept design or technical delivery (RIBA Stage 3 onwards).
·A good understanding of the challenges that come from working in the defence sector
·Ability to get to the office ideally 2 days a week

Architectural Technician job now available on a contract basis for immediate start! This position is likely to last until December 2025 and will see you working on a large-scale scale high-end residential London-based project! This architectural practice is based in Chelsea and pays 20 - 25 per hour.
A fantastic opportunity now exists for an Architectural Technician, Technical Architect or Architectural Assistant to join an established Architecture and Design consultancy based in Chelsea Harbour on a contract basis. With a prestigious client base stretching across prime areas of London, including the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, the practice has developed a strong reputation for delivering some of the most luxurious and bespoke properties not only in England but also in Europe, America, and Asia.
Role & Responsibilities
- You will be brought into the practice on a contract basis to support their growing workload in the super prime residential sector. The successful candidate will work as part of the technical team and will be required to produce high-quality technical drawing packages and construction details for a large-scale high-end property in London
- To prepare and write specifications using NBS Chorus
- Assist with site inspections by either condition surveys, site progress and analysis of build work and defects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Residential experience is essential, and experience within the high-end residential sector is a bonus
- An excellent knowledge of UK planning and building consents
- A minimum of 3 years UK experience
- Have an eye for good design and detailing, as well as a fantastic technical knowledge
- Be particularly confident in technical design and construction stages
- Technically strong, with an eye for detail
- NBS experience is beneficial but not essential
- The ability to carry out all aspects of detailing and construction information for residential projects
- A high level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit is a bonus but not essential
- The ability to sketch by hand and 3D and 2D
- Confident in hitting the ground running
- Ideally, be able to start ASAP or within a couple of weeks' notice.
What you get back
- 20 - 25 per hour
- Office hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Our client is embarking on a large program of tenancy fit-out packages for high-end shopping malls. They are looking for an architectural technologist / assistant to join the team as they work through amendments, redlining and also some standard associated detailing. This is being done in autocad so they are aiming to hire someone used to this kind of work (preferably, but not necessarily, on retail projects).
