We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and visionary Careers Coordinator to join our team and support SLT with the delivery of our careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme across the secondary school. At Westminster Academy, 'Education is success' and this encompasses education outside of the classroom.

As Careers Coordinator, you will work closely with key members of the Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of a comprehensive, inspiring and impactful careers programme that supports all our students from Year 7 to Year 13. We are seeking two Careers Advisers to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Careers Team. In this key position, you will work across multiple sites within our South West or South East Academies, supporting students to make informed, ambitious, and aspirational decisions about their futures.

We would be delighted to hear from you if you are a Level 4 Careers Adviser working towards Level 6, if you are newly qualified at Level 6, or if you are a Senior Level 6 Careers Adviser:

  • Level 4 - £26,000–£0,000

You will be joining an experienced and knowledgeable team of advisers, from whom you can gain advice and support. Working closely with your colleagues, you will help shape and deliver a high-impact CEIAG programme.

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic records on Unifrog of guidance meetings
  • Providing targeted support for students making post-16 and post-18 pathway choices
  • Liaising with external agencies, networks and partners to enhance the Higher Education and Careers programme
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting on the aspirations of current students
  • Engaging parents and carers in the careers guidance process
  • Supporting with meaningful and aspirational employer encounters
  • Attending results and enrolment days
  • Supporting wider team members, including providing shadowing opportunities and sharing best practice

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, networks, and partners to enrich the careers and higher education offer and maximise student outcomes
  • Track, monitor and report on student aspirations to inform strategic planning and targeted interventions

Job Description:

SALARY: £22,500 per annum and with successful completion of the probationary period a 
bonus will be added, thereafter a yearly review with the aim of increasing to £24,000 in the 
second year.


HOURS: 35 hours per week will be required from Monday-Friday


QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates must have good customer service skills or experience 
in working in a customer facing role and be prepared to undertake training in IAG level 3 and 
within a year be working towards a Careers Information Advice and Guidance Level 4
qualification.

We’re hiring! An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate Careers Adviser to join a Grade 1 Outstanding Provider, working across two schools in the Wakefield district. This term-time only role (38 weeks) is part-time (3 days/week), supporting students at an 11–19 secondary school with sixth form and an 11–16 special school. We’re looking for a Level 6 qualified adviser with school-based experience, but we’ll also consider experienced Level 4 advisers. Additional hours may be available in the future. The successful candidate should have experience in

  • Diploma in Careers Guidance (Parts 1 &2)
  • Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG)
  • Level 6 Diploma in Advice and Guidance
  • Level 4 Advice and Guidance (may be considered based on other experience)
  • Experience of working with young people in secondary schools/ colleges. 
  • Experience of working with various partners who support young people both in the voluntary and statutory settings 
  • Experience of delivering Careers Information, Advice and Guidance.
