The CRE Facility Agent role will involve managing a portfolio of Commercial Real Estate loans from drawdown through to redemption.
This involves working with Credit Admin to ensure timely and accurate servicing of a portfolio of loans for institutional clients.
The Associate Director will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain robust processes, timely communication and compliance with industry regulations.
Duties:
- Overall you will be managing a portfolio of syndicated and bilateral UK and European commercial real estate investment and development loans where we act as Facility Agent and/or Security Agent.
- You will work closely with our legal team, reviewing finance documents prior to loan closing and through the life of the loan.
- Creating financial models, diarising conditions subsequent, construction milestones and any other significant events, including the provision of borrower reporting, in-line with the relevant finance documents.
- Liaising with borrowers and their representatives in relation to ensuring reporting and other information required under the relevant finance documents are provided in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with lenders, borrowers and their respective lawyers in respect to loan redemptions, restructuring, amendments, waivers and other adhoc requests.
- Processing transfers, setting up waterfalls and reviewing back-office calculations.
- Liaising with project monitors, borrowers and lenders with regard to drawdowns and calculating lender splits, if required.
- Instructing valuations.

What does Cognate and Non-Cognate mean?
There are two ways of joining the Next Generation programme as a graduate:
**Cognate** - You hold an Undergraduate or Masters degree related to the field of study of the graduate scheme.
**Non-Cognate** - You hold an Undergraduate or Masters degree unrelated to real estate or the graduate scheme pathway.
If you are a non-cognate degree-holder, CBRE will sponsor and support you through a qualification to align you with cognate students.
For example, for the Commercial Real Estate pathway a cognate student would need a degree accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Non-cognate students will take a Masters that is accredited by the RICS - enabling you to sit your exams to become a Chartered Surveyor.
**Placements and Internships**
A select areas of business streams take on internships or placement students, for either a short period of 4 weeks for a summer internship held in August or up to 12 months for an industry placement from September.

I am working with an exceptional London office-focused real estate Investment Management firm, in their search for a Development Manager to join their entrepreneurial team.
This company works on exceptional value add projects in London predominantly, but also in national city locations.
Key Duties:
- Investigation and assessment of development and major refurbishment opportunities.
- Feasibility testing and identifying options to maximize long-term value.
- Working closely with the internal project and design team, in additional to professional consultants
- Overseeing and co-ordinating production of the brief, detailed building design and key project documentation in accordance with the project timescale.
- Ensure best sustainability measures
- Oversee real estate project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Production of a detailed Development Appraisal for presentation to the Board
- Providing direction and reviewing scheme concepts and design development to add value and ensure the highest standards of design and quality
- Lead key negotiations including planning, construction and key third party interests.
- Working closely with Investment and Asset Management teams
The Candidate:
- Established development experience for commercial assets
- Likely at the Associate/Associate Director level of experience
- In particular, Central London office experience is useful
- MRICS is not essential, but is advantageous
