The Standards Verifier plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and consistency of vocational qualifications by ensuring that assessment and internal verification practices meet national standards. **Purpose of this Role**
Affirm national standards have been achieved and upheld
Monitor through external examiner sampling and visit activities, centres' compliance with Pearson quality assurance expectations for RQF BTEC Higher National programmes
Support centres during the sampling process
Support centres in the delivery of BTEC Higher National programmes to national standards.

Strong background in IT systems design, deployment, and administration, including recent technical or team leadership rolesnAWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, with additional specialist certifications Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud solutionsnIn-depth administration experience with Linux or Windows in large-scale enterprise environmentsnExtensive knowledge of IPv4 networking design, deployment, and troubleshootingnSkilled in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or TerraformnHands-on experience with virtualisation and containerisation using Docker and KubernetesnExperienced in working within complex or high-security environmentsnDesirable Experience:

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines within DevOps environmentsnFamiliar with DevOps practices, including Git branching strategies and release managementnSkilled in secure network design and configuration of IPv4 routers and firewallsnProficient in administering Linux or Windows servers in large enterprise settingsnExperience with centralised configuration management tools like Ansible or PuppetnComfortable using agile collaboration tools such as Jira and ConfluencenKnowledge of Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum and SAFenUnderstanding of ITIL-based service management practicesnTo be Considered:
