Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm,  37 hrs/week – Office based
  
Our client are seeking a Community Mental Health Support Worker to join an established community team based in Stockport, working borough wide.
  • To work on an individual basis, in the community with service users from diverse backgrounds who present with a wide range of mental health problems, life style choices and or chaotic life styles
  • Manage your own caseload, providing a service to people within their own homes in the community
  • Assist and support service users to recover their mental health and to lead the lives they choose
  • Try to prevent the loss of employment, relationships and skills and to help service users maintain and recover their roles in society
  • Development and implementation of care plans
  • Support service users in making their views known
  • Provide practical and emotional support to our services users
  • Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary
  • Keep and maintain records of work
Requirements
  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Experience in mental health services
  • Commitment to promoting the needs of people with mental health problems and their carer’s
  • An ability to act calmly in emergencies and to respond in a professional manner to stressful and challenging behaviour
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service

Oswald House is a specialist residential service providing rehabilitation, care and support to vulnerable women with complex mental health issues.
