Content Creation & Publishing

  • Lead on the design, development and production of visual, audio and design content for our employees' two digital homes: the Virgin Family platform (home to all 63,000 Virgin people across the world), and Virgin Central (home to our 400 people at Virgin Group HQ).
  • With an always-on, people-first mindset, work with the Employee Communications & Engagement Head of, Senior Manager and Manager to own all content workflows, from ideation to optimisation.
  • Work closely with the Virgin Group and Virgin companies’ Social Media teams to align and execute content across campaigns, business priorities and seasonal activity across programmes and platforms.
  • Capture and edit multimedia content that brings our people closer to our brand, purpose, customers and one another, ensuring quality and consistency across video and audio formats.
  • Play a key role in the seamless running of the content calendar, ensuring timely delivery across all channels.
  • Maintain a regular content rhythm in alignment with the internal calendar of digital engagement, including regular content updates, monthly campaigns, and ad-hoc activations. Represent the team as Content Producer in squad delivery of business priority campaigns.
  • Act as the guardian for the Virgin Family brand, ensuring best-in-class creative execution and a uniquely Virgin, employee-first angle for storytelling across all assets.

At the heart of this role is the development and execution of digital strategies that reach both UK and international audiences. You'll lead on digital projects from conception to delivery, ensuring they align with organisational goals and are managed with precision. This includes chairing cross-team meetings, providing regular updates, and collaborating with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders. You'll also contribute to wider campaigns, managing key components to ensure seamless and timely execution. A major focus of the role is leading the charities email marketing strategy. You'll also oversee the creation and maintenance of digital content, ensuring accessibility and a seamless user experience across devices. Working in a WordPress environment, you'll build and manage key landing pages and complex content areas, while supporting other teams to become more self-sufficient in content management. Your expertise will help set content best practices and troubleshoot challenges, ensuring consistency and quality across the charity's digital estate.

SUMMARY

As a Digital Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality digital content experiences. You’ll be responsible for reviewing, restructuring, and publishing content across various digital platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and user expectations. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to define content strategies and support the rollout of new web templates and pages.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Digital Content Management

  • Review existing web content across .com, PDFs, and other sources, and propose improvements for structure, clarity, and user engagement.
  • Understand new website page templates and recommend content readiness strategies.
  • Write small elements of new content to complement existing material, adhering to ABB’s tone of voice and style guide.

CMS Knowledge

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of modern Content Management Systems and publishing workflows.
  • Apply best practices in content publishing and management.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the central point of contact for content discussions with ABB.
  • Collaborate with divisions and technical teams to align on content structure and presentation.
  • Build consensus on pilot page content and layout.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven expertise in digital content management, mapping, writing, and editing—ideally within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is highly beneficial.
