Data Quality Analyst

Looking to recruit a Data Quality Analyst with ideally experience in the Financial Services sector. You will be tasked with ensuring the accuracy, validity, consistency, completeness, timeliness, uniqueness of data across the business . You must have a strong background in collaboration as you will working across alongside department leads to ensure across the business on data quality issues and work with the business to identify and fix any data quality related issues.

Key Areas are to

• Strong experience of understanding in owning and managing data quality issues from inception to resolution addressing the root cause.
• Strong experience of understands data quality metrics and own the data quality dashboard including producing reports up to exec level.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality framework
• Strong understanding and experience in Data Migration
• Experiencing of chairing a data quality working group or similar
• Work closely with IT and the business by undertaking the following: data profiling, cleansing and validation exercise
• Strong experience in developing dashboards, preferably using tools such as Tableau, Power BI , or similar

This is hybrid permanent role and you will be expected to go in the office 1 / 2 days a week.

In this role, you'll focus on data validation, profiling, and cleansing , helping ensure that information across core systems is accurate, complete, and reliable. You'll work across multiple teams to enhance how data is managed and reported, supporting the organisation's operational and strategic goals.

This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work on site in Gloucester once a week.

What you'll be doing:

• Investigating data inconsistencies and applying corrections to improve accuracy and completeness
• Writing T-SQL queries to interrogate and validate data
• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure data quality standards are met
• Contributing to root cause analysis and helping define long-term improvements
• Supporting quality assurance processes by maintaining documentation such as data dictionaries and audit trails

What we're looking for:

• Strong experience in data validation, cleansing, and profiling
• Confident in writing T-SQL queries for data analysis

What You Will Do:

• Lead data quality validation and management across Electric Machine, Electric Drive Unit, Inverter, Battery, and other test environments.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and accessible test data to support critical engineering decisions.
• Develop and deploy data piping, validation tools, and a federated data platform.
• Conduct correlation exercises to ensure test facilities deliver repeatable and reproducible measurements.
• Drive continuous improvement in measurement quality by reviewing equipment, systems, and methods.
• Coach and mentor team members, sharing best practices in data validation and management.

You will be working towards becoming the Subject Matter Expert for data management and validation, delivering a training package to develop others in order to improve the data quality produced by the team.

What You Will Bring:

• Experience designing applications in programming languages such as Python.
• Knowledge of building data systems, pipelines, and validation processes in cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
• Strong data analysis skills, including hypothesis testing, uncertainty analysis and process variation.
• Technical understanding of physical measurement equipment and its applications.
• Proven ability to create and present data-driven reports and visualisations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable).
