This critical leadership role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. The Operations Director will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive operational strategy that leverages cutting-edge digital technologies to enhance efficiency, drive innovation, and optimise business processes across the entire organisation. You will lead cross-functional teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure seamless integration of digital tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for digital transformation and operational excellence, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Lead the design and execution of programmes to digitise core business processes, improve operational workflows, and enhance customer experience.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of new technologies, software, and digital tools.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, project management, and business analysis, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and digital adoption, monitoring progress and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimisation to reduce costs and improve productivity.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for technology solutions and services.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and data privacy compliance are in place.

  • Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for competitive advantage.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in senior operational leadership roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of digital technologies, process automation, data analytics, and enterprise software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business process re-engineering, and change management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing significant operational budgets.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organisational skills.
