TeacherActive is proud to be working with a school in Neath, supporting with their recruitment for a Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The setting is centred on pupil’s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.
The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right Learning Support Assistant / LSA. The successful Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children’s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school. They are looking for someone who is sporty and happy helping in PE lessons as well as out on sports trips.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
The successful Learning Support Assistant / LSA will have:
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- Experience working with students of all key stages
- Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent desirable
- Excellent time management skills
