A prestigious Multi-disciplinary Architectural Practice in Newark is seeking a talented Senior or Associate Architect to lead on multi million pound Education schemes, and support further growth within their recently awarded local authority education framework. This role offers a unique chance to take a leadership position on flagship education projects, while also contributing to future bids and business development efforts.


With around 40 skilled professionals across two UK studios, this Practice boasts a diverse portfolio spanning multiple sectors. This includes Education, Retail, Residential, Mixed Use and Commercial space.

This role is ideal for a Senior or Associate Architect with a proven track record of delivering education sector projects, particularly primary and/or secondary schools, from conception through to completion. For the right candidate, there is potential to grow into a more senior leadership and management role over time. Business Development will be a key component to this role, so experience in this area would be ideal for the role.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead Architect for a new school projects, initially working closely with the studio lead to ensure a smooth handover.
  • Actively contribute to bids, leveraging your education sector expertise and contacts.
  • Support the studio lead with project delivery and coordination across the wider team.
  • Deliver high-quality design work and project management through all stages.
  • Represent the Practice confidently with clients, contractors, and consultants.


What We're Looking For:

  • RIBA/ARB registered Architect with approximately 10+ years' professional experience.
  • Currently at Senior Architect level with strong project running experience, ideally ready to step into a more strategic role.
  • Substantial recent experience delivering education sector projects - having led at least one primary or secondary school scheme in the last 5 years.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering projects through all stages, with excellent technical and design skills.
  • Good understanding of procurement routes and contract types (NEC experience advantageous).
  • Skilled in producing clear diagrams, presentations, and resolving detailing challenges.
  • Confident, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent client-facing and team leadership skills.


What's On Offer:

  • Competitive salary circa 45,000 - 55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
