**YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT'S INVOLVED?**
As a fire engineer, you'll typically be working on a variety of projects at once from a University in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. All with the same goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building.
You'll be running through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and helping to inform the design team about what changes could be made to increase the safety of the building.
Naturally, there is a lot to learn and you are likely to be guided through a variation of software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start but we're a nice bunch and we regularly get together for social events.
In addition to the above day to day role, we will assist the successful candidate toward his/her professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations.
