Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the productions and technical content of the purchase order required client documentation. This may include, but not be limited to:- Procedures, Electrical diagrams, layout/arrangements, technical manuals
- Responsible for the production and technical content of required manufacturing documentation.
- Responsible for the production of sub-supplier material requisitions for processing by others
- Responsible for liaison with the client for all technical matters relating to the purchase order
- Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgets.
- Liaison with other internal departments, as required, to ensure that the requirements of the purchase order are met.
- Ensuring departmental performance to a standard which satisfies internal and external customer requirements.
- Act as a technical specialist or advisor within the team.
- Coaches or mentors Engineers, Technicians and Apprentices.
- Responsible for making design modifications with feedback from the manufacturing workforce to address engineering and/or manufacturing issues.
- Able to provide general guidance to entry level professionals on product line(s) and integration.
- Reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
- Assists with the development of new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
- Routinely interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
- Provides feedback and input to the Application Engineering team for proposal and technical guidance.
- Acts as a technical specialist or advisor within the appropriate Engineering team.
Skills & Experience:
- A good technical background with commercial awareness
- An emphasis on safety, quality and duty of care.
- The ability to effectively communicate using both verbal and written communication that delivers high levels of confidence in those dealt with.
- The ability to work effectively both individually and importantly as a team member.
- The ability to meet the expectation of both internal and external customers, clients and suppliers through a sound understanding of their requirements, being responsive to their needs and exceeding their requirements.

Essential:
Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Computer literate with a good grasp of Microsoft office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
Industry experience (Typically 2-5 Years)
Experienced in AutoCAD and/or Inventor.
Desirable:
Ideally experience within a Control Panel/Switchgear environment.

Established in 2003, this family run business employs approx. 30 employees. Their team provides an all-round design, laser, fold and fabrication service to a broad customer base.
They are seeking a professional who is passionate about engineering and flexible to manage the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will be competent with Solidworks to design, and re-design parts specifically for manufacture.
Candidates would need a knowledge of Solidworks sheet metal modelling and have the ability to produce drawings for Laser, bend drawings for Press Brake, and working drawings for manufacture and assembly operations. Our CAD Technicians interpret the customer specifications, and design for production using tolerance and specifications from our Laser and Press Brake Department. There is a need to identify the most efficient techniques for fabrication and emphasise these to the production department.
A broad knowledge of IT packages and good communication skills, both visual and verbal, are essential. The role includes the creation of job packs and BOMs, and adherence to the company file structure.
Duties:

Produce accurate working drawings utilising Solidworks.

Liaison between the production department and the customer to resolve manufacturing issues, identify problems and agree solutions.

Have knowledge of suitable, efficient and economical production processes and materials.
