You will hold a degree qualified in an earth sciences, environmental or engineering discipline and will be a chartered member of a relevant professional institution or actively working towards chartership.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Experience**
+ Knowledge of the requirements for planning, designing and management of site investigations
+ Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and their application to safe design and implementation of site investigations
+ Understanding of the land contamination regime within the UK and the risk-based approach to the assessment of land contamination
+ Report writing including presenting complex technical information in a concise and accurate manner
+ Data handling, including experience in the use of GIS is desirable
+ Of different regulatory regimes, e.g. development planning consenting (TCPA and DCO), environmental permitting, due diligence, nuclear site end states and GRR, environmental impact assessment
+ Of specialist technical areas, e.g. quantitative risk assessment, waste/material management, radiological characterisation, hydrogeology, remediation

You will have responsibility for leading projects including tasks relating to bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management. A typical week could include:
+ Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues

As an Assistant Consultant in the EIA team, you will provide support to managing and delivering environmental consultancy services to a full range of clients. You will assist in coordinating and providing technical input into EIAs, as well as undertaking broader environmental management tasks for a variety of projects.

We are looking for a Senior level environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in the London or South East Teams. (London, Cambridge, Guildford, Reading, Basingstoke and Southamtpton). We have an exciting portfolio of projects which span a number of sectors such as energy, aviation, nuclear, rail, property and Local Government to name but a few.
