Hello Creatives!

We’re The London Display Company – an ambitious and passionate group, crazy about everything design & build. We’ve got over 25 years of experience behind us, and some incredible growth on top!
We’ve grown from developing portable displays to now managing highly-skilled joinery of bespoke builds for dozens of established clients across the exhibition industry globally.
We’ve unlocked huge potential to further provide industry-leading builds both inside trade event venues and semi permanent locations.
Investing in our people is essential to growing our passion, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an Exhibition Designer to join our small team and help take us to the next level including other new areas of work outside of the exhibition industry.
We anticipate that the first months of the job will be more about learning the industry and technical side of things before you can take on any projects independently, but the ideal candidate should be able to support the design team from the get go with their 2D and 3D software knowledge and design thinking.

We’d like you to initially be able to offer;

- Proficiency in 3D software (e.g., 3ds Max, Cinema 4D) and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, KeyShot). Cinema 4D knowledge is highly preferable.
- The ideal candidate is in the early stages of a midweight role, but we remain open to those designers who have more experience too
- Must be confident in reading and working on technical drawings for construction spaces like exhibition builds or something similar within interior/architectural design or product/spatial design.
- Knowledge of materials and fabrication methods, and technical production possibilities.
- Having an understanding of collaboration between departments, concepts like deadlines, budgets, feasibility as well as the eagerness to think outside the box, excellent attention to detail coupled with creative thinking.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative skills in 3D brand experiences and exhibition environments.
- Must be from a creative background and have spatial design experience regarding their studies or professional work experience. Exhibitions, events, retail or interior design experience is a must. (we’re not looking for graphic designers, motion designers, 3D artists etc as these are not suitable for this role). Exhibition design experience is very highly preferable.
- Ready to hit the ground after the initial settlement period in terms of the requirements of the role: ability to read briefs, understanding brand guidelines and requirements, tackling medium scale exhibition design projects from scratch with the supervision of the lead designer, modeling, rendering and presenting the concept, creating technical plans as well as providing support for the on going projects.
- Day to day liaising with the sales and project management team, ability to manage their own daily schedule.
- Demonstrate the will to work proactively, collaboratively, showing initiative and eagerness to make the project a success, as well as the confidence to take up projects individually.
- Creation of conceptual work and mood boards for project tenders and proposals.

In return, we’ll give you:

- The opportunity to work with companies of all different sizes including global leaders.
- A great team working & social environment from our Runway East LD building.
- Ability to work flexibly from home and in our London Bridge office with set team working days!
- Opportunity to grow within the company
- A salary starting from £29k - £2k depending on experience.
- Private health insurance benefits.
- 24 days annual leave.
- Access to the London underground and national rail within 5 minute walk.
- Famous sites like The Shard and Borough market on your doorstep with dozens of bars, cafes & restaurants.
- Access to a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working as designer with 3-5 of the listed platforms. Will consider applicants who have skill levels that range differently across the platforms mentioned.

Most importantly, have a passion for the design and build sector. Development opportunities are vast for an ambitious designer such as yourself.

Are you a game-changer? If so this could be the start of something special.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary starting: £2 - 2k
