As a Customer Service Assistant you will welcome the community into the facility, whether that be a seasoned gym goer or somebody making their first steps into the facility. We strive to provide a warm friendly welcome to all.

Joining part of friendly and supportive team you will be you will build your knowledge of what’s on offer at The Stour Centre so that you can share this with our users. No two days will be the same as you interact with the wide range of centre users, you will also have the opportunity to experience selling memberships to new prospects as well as being the start of the membership retention process for that individual too.

The good thing is that we provide you with full training and great potential for career progression, we have over 100 facilities across England and Wales – many of our staff have built successful careers with us because they love the having a positive impact in their local communities and enjoy the variety that the role provides.

Requirements

  • Experience of serving customers in a face to face environment
  • Able to promote services and sell the different products that Freedom leisure offer
  • The skill to establish key relationships swiftly and appropriately
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, enthusiasm and motivation
  • Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally
  • Highly organised with a good attention to detail

From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to be part of our team. We are looking for a Fitness Manager, working as a Fitness Manager you will be leading a team ensuring exceptional service is delivered at all times. We are looking for someone to increase activity levels at the site, maximising sales and income generation, offering support, working in the gym, manage and oversee the health and GP referral schemes, providing fitness advice and knowledge to help people go further in their training.

The centre includes a large gym, three studios, large pool space, soft play facility for up to 150 children and an 11 wall clip and climb facility, an 8 court sports hall, café and squash courts.

Requirements

  • A relevant level 3 fitness qualification.
  • Experience of problem solving, organisational customer service and staff management.
  • Experience of at least three years in a fitness facility.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends and research.
  • Good commercial awareness which translates into a successful and financially viable operation.
  • A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development.
  • Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally.
  • Excellent time management skills – able to deal with a number of priorities at once.
  • A self starter who inspires others with their passion and energy.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to think your feet.
  • To be able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy.
  • Team orientated approach, able to work across the organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues.
  • Group exercise delivery qualifications (desirable).
  • First Aid at Work (desirable).
  • Defibrillation (desirable).
