**Reports to:** Senior Apprenticeship MIS & Funding Compliance Manager
**Job Purpose:**
Pearson TQ are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual to join our Apprenticeship Funding Compliance Team. The Apprenticeship Funding Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing Pearson TQ's military compliance teams; ensuring timely and accurate data returns, apprenticeship programme inductions, and supporting administration throughout the apprenticeship journey.
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an educational or work-based learning setting, ideally within apprenticeships. The successful candidate will also have a strong working knowledge of the apprenticeship funding rules, ILR data management and DfE/ESFA audit requirements.
We require someone who is methodical and tenacious with strong leadership skills, who's passionate about learning and how this can progress people's lives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Leadership & Team Management**
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a compliance team of 20+ apprenticeship coordinators and administrators over Pearson TQ's military contracts.
+ Set team goals (OKRs), monitor performance, undertake quarterly performance reviews and provide regular feedback and development opportunities.
+ Motivate and support team members to achieve individual and team goals.
+ Conduct regular team meetings and 1-2-1s.
**Data Management**
+ Ensure timely and accurate monthly returns of ILR data checks by compliance teams, including PDSAT, FIS, VYED and D_Lock reports.
+ Support the compliance teams with the resolution of escalated data errors.
+ Ensure timely and accurate administration of ILR data by compliance teams via Maytas MIS.
+ Monitor performance against internal and external data KPIs and collate quarterly data for Army management meetings (CAMs).
+ Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions where necessary.
+ Update teams on any changes to data management processes or requirements and provide relevant training and CPD.
**Apprenticeship Administration**
+ Ensure apprenticeship evidence packs are generated at the start of apprenticeship programmes in-line with Army and DfE requirements, including initial assessment and any RPL reductions.
+ Oversee and monitor apprenticeship induction processes and procedures to ensure compliance with DfE and Army requirements.
+ Update apprenticeship evidence pack paperwork annually, including updates to training plans as and when required.
+ Ensure ongoing administration of apprenticeship evidence packs, including breaks in learning (BiL), returns from BiL, reviews, gateways, achievements, withdrawals and certificates (utilising Maytas and OneFile e-portfolio).
+ Deliver ongoing refresher and CPD training to compliance teams on the completion of apprenticeship evidence packs.
**Stakeholder Engagement**
+ Collaborate with program managers, delivery teams, quality teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance across all contracts.
+ Coordinate with external stakeholders within the Army and WBL Services to address compliance-related matters affecting contracts.
**Audit**
+ Ensure compliance teams undertake internal audit activity as per Pearson TQ's internal audit policy and provide support and training where required.
+ Coordinate with Pearson TQ's Apprenticeship Audit Manager and support internal and external audit activity.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in funding rules and audit requirements.
**What we are looking for**

You'll demonstrate a positive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement, both personally and for those within your team. Proficient in ILR MIS systems such as Maytas and e-portfolio platforms like OneFile would be an advantage. In addition you'll possess the following:
+ Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an education or work-based learning setting.
+ A good understanding of the apprenticeship funding rules, ILR management, PDSATs and apprenticeship standards.
+ The ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and resolve compliance issues.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ The ability to motivate and inspire a team.
+ Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
+ High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
+ Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Commitment to team success and personal development.
