6 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: • Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an Interim Public Health Consultant – Health Protection & Resilience to provide strategic leadership and expert advice on all aspects of health protection, environmental hazards, and population resilience.• The post holder will support the Director of Public Health (DPH) to ensure systems and processes are in place to protect the population from infectious diseases, environmental risks, and other health protection threats.• This is a 6-month interim assignment, starting 10 November 2025, working within the Health & Wellbeing Directorate at Dudley Council.Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Lead and coordinate local authority responsibilities for health protection, ensuring readiness and response to major incidents, outbreaks, and environmental hazards.• Support the DPH in delivering statutory functions and ensuring partner organisations (UKHSA, ICB, NHS) have robust systems and surge capacity in place.• Oversee local delivery of immunisation and infection prevention and control programmes, including surveillance and incident response.• Provide strategic public health input into resilience planning, including emergency preparedness, adverse weather response, and pandemic planning.• Lead and manage the Health Protection Team, ensuring effective cross-agency collaboration and governance.• Provide expert advice on environmental and housing-related health issues, including air quality, climate change impacts, and the health-enabling settings approach.• Drive actions to reduce health inequalities and promote inclusion health, ensuring equitable access to protection and prevention programmes.• Represent the local authority in multi-agency partnerships, resilience forums, and strategic planning groups.Skills/Experience: • Significant experience leading health protection programmes, including infectious disease management, outbreak control, and environmental health resilience.• In-depth knowledge of UKHSA frameworks, Public Health England/UKHSA guidance, and Civil Contingencies Act requirements.• Proven ability to lead multi-agency emergency response and resilience planning across local government, NHS, and voluntary sectors.• Strong background in immunisation, infection control, and surveillance systems.• Experience working with local authorities, ICBs, and NHS partners on population-level health protection strategies.• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-engagement skills.• Commitment to tackling health inequalities and promoting inclusion health.Additional Information: • The closing date: 09/11/2025.• Qualified Public Health Consultant (GMC, UKPHR or GDC registration, or eligible for inclusion on the Public Health Specialist Register).• Location: Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council – Health & Wellbeing Directorate.• Compliance: Enhanced compliance required.

You will be able to analyze the technical characteristics of competitors' devices and products, promote the CRM product lines and assist with market penetration by providing expert technical customer support.
What you'll need:

Job Description

We are recruiting for a **Clinical Specialist** to join our **North UK** team, responsible for supporting the **Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM)** technology lines by providing expert clinical consultation, teaching and support on the use of the CRM portfolio of products and its appropriate application in the clinical setting in the assigned territory (North team - location towards Northeast ideal).
You will maintain up to date technical CRM knowledge of current and new Abbott therapies and technologies as well as a general understanding of the dynamics of the country healthcare market. You will provide technical support and assistance to the sales force, physicians and allied professionals for CRM case support.
You will be able to analyze the technical characteristics of competitors' devices and products, promote the CRM product lines and assist with market penetration by providing expert technical customer support.
What you'll need:
+ A science related degree.
+ Ideally experience within pacing/CRM and familiarity with cath lab procedures and protocol, but we are open to applications from passionate graduates looking for their first role in industry.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ A willingness to travel (c. 75% of the time).

2 months contract with a Local Authority Job Summary: • Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner (4+ years) with strong knowledge and hands-on experience within a pre-birth social work setting. This is a fast-paced and complex role, ideal for a practitioner with robust experience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency working.• You will be working with vulnerable families from early pregnancy, aiming to break cycles of children entering care. The role requires completion of pre-birth assessments, legal planning, and working across CIN, CP, and ICO cases.Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample): • Manage a complex caseload focused on pre-birth and post-birth assessments.• Carry out in-depth risk assessments and develop safe, outcome-focused care plans.• Support and assess parents whose previous children have been removed from their care.• Participate in legal planning meetings, pre-proceedings, and court processes.• Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners, including mental health, domestic abuse, and substance misuse services.• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced social workers.• Ensure accurate and timely performance reporting and documentation.• Represent the Trust at key meetings and case discussions.• Promote consistent, high-quality practice in line with legislation and organisational standards.Skills/Experience: • Minimum 4 years post-qualifying social work experience (essential)• Extensive knowledge and experience in pre-birth assessment and planning• Demonstrated experience working in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and care proceedings (ICO)• Strong understanding of legal frameworks, including legal planning and pre-proceedings• Proven ability to manage complex safeguarding cases• Skilled in multi-agency working to manage cases involving:• Domestic abuse• Mental health issues• Substance misuse• Homelessness• Ability to mentor, coach, and quality-assure the work of colleagues• Strong communication, report writing, and organisational skillsAdditional Information: • Clearance: Enhanced DBS required.
