About the Community Support Worker role:
Do you want a job supporting people to have fun and get involved in their community? The people we support in Colchester Community love shopping, going out for lunch, long walks, visiting farms, going bowling and to the gym. If you love those things too, why not get paid to share these experiences with them? This is usually between 8.30-18.00 although it varies with the activities the people we support want to do. You will be visiting up to 3 individuals a day in the community and supporting them with their daily needs. A valid driving license and a car with business insurance is required for this post. This can also be a brilliant role for someone who wants to work flexibly. This is an exciting opportunity to have a varied working week and opportunities to use a variety of skills you already have or would like to develop for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of both face-to-face and e-learning programmes.
Maintain accurate training records and monitor compliance across teams.
Utilise funding streams to strengthen training offerings, including the apprenticeship levy and government learning development schemes.
Support the development of an internal Care Professional Academy, fostering a learning culture and supporting staff retention.
Collaborate with service managers and HR to meet training KPIs and address service-specific needs.
Manage the training calendar and coordinate external training providers when required.
Support internal leadership and HR training programmes and assist in developing the organisation's future ambitions as an accredited training provider.
Ideal Candidate
Holds a recognised training qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET, PTLLS, CTLLS) - Essential
Professional qualification in social care, nursing, or a related discipline - Essential
Experienced in delivering training within a health or social care setting - Essential
Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
Passionate about embedding best practice, CQC standards, and values into every aspect of training delivery.
