The Boeing Global Services Government (BGS-G) Supply Chain Planning organization is seeking a first line manager to lead a demand planning and asset management team. This role will be responsible for leading a team comprised of supply chain specialists and data scientists. The manager will be overseeing the execution of end-to-end supply chain operations for the F-22 Sustainment program within BGS-G. This includes performance-based logistics execution, advanced demand forecasting initiatives, as well as functional excellence initiatives across the supply chain, and adherence to schedules and budgets. The manager will also be responsible for collaboration with defense industry partners, internal business functions, process alignment, performance impact analysis, and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. The selected candidate will be accountable to successfully manage, develop, and motivate the team.

The selected candidate will be required to work 5 days per week onsite in Berkeley, Missouri . The position will require 25% travel on average.

Position Responsibilities:


  • This role also has responsibility for people, budget, systems and tools, and is accountable for execution cost, schedule and quality performance.
  • Position requires strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
  • Position requires strong knowledge and experience in military supply support environment including demand and inventory management of company-owned material, customer owned material and program/contract material, supply chain decision and execution tools, multi-level supply chain echelons, supply chain data, analysis and physical logistics (warehouse and distribution) competencies.
  • Position requires ability to interpret/translate demand forecast data to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Experience with asset management systems & tools including supply planning & forecasting tools SPM, GOLD, NWP and knowledge of Sales, Inventory, Operations and Planning (SI&OP).
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal/external customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • 5+ years experience in supply chain, supplier management, and project management
  • Possesses excellent communication skills allowing for cross functional interaction with the Customer, Program, supply chain, contracts, finance, engineering, and quality.
  • 5+ years experience with schedule and budget management to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in supply chain asset management/planning, supplier management, demand forecasting, data analytics, new business integration
  • Boeing proposal development, contracts administration and DoD prime contract negotiations

**_What You'll Be Doing:_**
+ Oversee and improve how we manage inventory counting across all of Europe.
+ Support local inventory teams (about 5-6 team members across various countries). Functional dotted reported line.
+ Help us meet our goals for how much inventory is checked each year.
+ Visit customer sites in the Netherlands, Germany, and France to help with inventory checks.
+ Manage our third-party counting partner (annual spend over 1 million), making sure they meet contract terms and deliver on KPIs.
+ Take ownership of the third-party budget and ensure we're getting good value.
+ Keep business leaders informed and step in when challenges arise.
+ Align and improve inventory processes across all countries.
+ Develop and track meaningful performance indicators (KPIs) for Europe.
+ Work with our data and analytics team to make performance visible and easy to understand.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to find better ways of working and increase efficiency.
+ Ensure our practices follow all relevant regulations and company policies (e.g. ISO, SOX, Compliance).
**_Your profile :_**
+ You hold a college or university degree, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
+ You have at least 8 years of experience in activities related to inventory management.
+ You have experience of at least 3 to 4 years managing a team.
+ You are fluent in english.
