  • Develop novel solutions to evolving technical challenges and emerging issues for complex Radar Systems that our customers and end-user communities are facing

  • Apply a breadth of knowledge, skills and experience of Systems Engineering principles, techniques and governance to steer and develop technical solutions and resolve engineering issues

  • Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs of system parameters to characterise and specify robust product design

  • Lead the decomposition of requirements to system and sub-system level and manage these in an approved toolset such as IBM DOORS Next

  • Be a technical focus point with a holistic understanding of a whole system solution leading analysis activities and system design decisions and providing guidance to own team

  • Collaborate with specialists across different engineering disciplines including electronics, electrical, mechanical and software to direct and realise overarching system design solutions

  • Direct and undertake system integration, test planning and execution

  • Define and articulate system acceptance strategies and acceptance evidence demonstrating system performance across a wide range of operational scenarios to internal and external stakeholders

  • Through these activities you will build your personal profile with senior stakeholders and grow a diverse knowledge base in engineering

Your skills and experiences:

  • A good understanding in some of the following subject areas; signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system and sensor resource optimisation

  • A good understanding of factors that can affect the real-world performance of sensing systems and how these can impact the accuracy and timeliness of measurements in order to meet challenging design objectives and requirements

  • Demonstrates understanding and experience of Systems Engineering which could include knowledge of Systems Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288)

  • Experience of presenting both technical and non-technical information in a formal setting

  • Contribute to requirements specification and management for complex, multi-faceted outputs.
  • Participate in systems integration, verification, qualification & validation.
  • Supporting junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with Mil Std?s, Industry Std?s and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting activities including design reviews and peer reviews.
  • Development of the software security plan.

Experience required:

  • Knowledge and experience of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in requirements definition, verification, qualification & validation.
  • Experience in system level testing.
  • CE Marking compliance for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).
  • Experience using IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System).
  • Awareness of Safety, Security and other legislative constraints.
  • Ideally have Defence industry experience.
  • Domain experience in an Electronics-focused role.
  • Evidenced experience of developing training manuals for end users.

    We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Infrastructure Systems Trainer to play a pivotal role in ensuring that staff across the infrastructure and associated services are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to effectively use business systems. This role is responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating training programmes, both in person and online that support the ongoing use of digital tools. Developing innovative e-learning solutions.



    Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan the programme of training courses, training courses will be delivered through a mix of in person and online courses.
  • review and evaluate training courses, identifying and recommending to the systems. development lead where changes to coursers and documentation need to take place.
  • collate and evaluate with staff skill audits to identify training needs.
  • deliver timely robust training using varied methods to support staff development.


  • Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Level 4 qualification or equivalent and or experience in relevant environment.
  • Proven experience of providing excellent support to Senior managers.
  • Experience working in an environment with multiple stake holders.
  • Experience of working in a political environment, skills in understanding and responding to different perspectives and taking ca cross organisational perspective
  • Experience working within the public sector.
  • Experience of a one team approach and working within a wider team.


  • Rate & Working Hours:

    • 150 per day

    • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday (Typically 9am-5pm, with some flexibility)



Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to commute to Maidstone, Kent daily - this is a fully on-site role .
