Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: MCFC Grounds, Manchester
Hourly Rate: £12.60
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 15:00
About the role
Grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, flower bed maintenance, spraying, and more - join us as a Grounds Maintenance Operative and you'll be doing them all. As part of our team in Manchester, you will keep the Ethiad Campus in wonderful condition for our client. It's a great opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable experience, and grow with us in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Requirements
- Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous Grounds Maintenance experience is required.
- A full valid UK driving license is essential.
- PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.

Salary: From 12.21- 12.50 per hour
Contract type: 12 months Fixed Term Contract, Full Time
Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 am to 17:00 pm
About the role
We are looking for multiple skilled and enthusiastic Landscape Operatives to join our team in Cornwall for a 12 month FTC with potential permanent opportunities. This role involves planting trees on the A30 between Chiverton Cross and Carland Cross, contributing to an important environmental project. You will play a crucial part in creating and maintaining outdoor spaces that not only enhance the landscape but also protect the environment. The focus will be on minimizing environmental impact and, where possible, delivering improvements to the natural surroundings. We are particularly interested in local workers who are passionate about protecting and enriching Cornwall's environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Landscape role or similar background.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and work well in a team.
- A full valid UK driving licence is essential
- CSCS card is preferred but can be obtained prior to start if able to pass certification successfully (& subject to signing a training agreement)
- Must be able to pass a drug & alcohol check and willing to undergo a medical at Induction / Day One.
