Our client, a dynamic organisation in the import/export industry, is looking for a dedicated Supply Chain Co-ordinator to join their team in Tonbridge! This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Main Objective:


As a Supply Chain Co-ordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supporting all aspects of the company's supply chain, purchasing, and logistics processes. Your efforts will ensure timely production and shipment of orders, effective communication with suppliers, freight forwarders and 3PL (Third Party Logistics) warehousing providers and seamless management of logistics operations within goods reciepts, movements, adjustments and arrival times.

What You'll Do:

Supplier Relations / Management:

  • Generate and convey orders to international suppliers
  • Manage supplier payments and chase overdue purchase orders.
  • Address supplier queries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Check and approve vendor invoices.

Freight Logistics:

  • Liaise with freight forwarders to track inbound shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with customs requirements by providing accurate shipment documents.
  • Oversee packing instructions and shipping documentation across multiple sites.

Stock Control & System Maintenance:

  • Process goods receipts and maintain accurate records in the IT system.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies and assist in stock counts.
  • Monitor arrival dates and sales to coordinate internal assembly job

Third Party Logistics Coordination:

  • Notify 3PL partners of inbound goods and coordinate unloading dates.
  • Implement best practises and resolve storage or quality issues.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Support colleagues within the Supply Chain team.
  • Act as the point of contact for stock availability and order arrival enquiries.
  • Generate IT system reports on departmental KPIs.
  • Undertake additional duties to enhance team efficiency.

What we are looking for;

  • Proven skills in a role dealing with international vendor relations/purchasing/supply chain, international freight logistics, or of similar relevancy
  • Conscientious and able to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Highly motivated with exceptional attention to detail.
  • An excellent communicator who is calm under pressure.
  • Experienced in international vendor relations and logistics.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Logistics Operative to join a busy service centre team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse - from receipt and inspection to storage, packing, and dispatch.

You'll work closely with the technical and administrative teams to ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately, customer orders are processed efficiently, and quality standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming goods, ensuring accurate system updates and stock records.
- Inspect and audit stock upon arrival, verifying quantity and condition.
- Book in returned items against assigned RMA (Return Material Advice) numbers.
- Safely handle, repackage, and store goods in line with internal procedures.
- Support product preparation, including basic testing and cleaning (training provided).
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for dispatch according to customer specifications.
- Complete dispatch paperwork and liaise with carriers for timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with regular stock checks.
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping and organisation within the warehouse.

As the Logistics Operative, you will provide administrative support, including:
- Processing orders and service requests.
- Coordinating with suppliers, customers, and service partners.
- Ensuring all systems and records are kept up to date.
- Supporting the technical team to meet service deadlines and SLAs.

Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience within a logistics, warehouse, or stores environment.
- Confident using computerised stock management systems or similar software.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic technical understanding or willingness to learn.

Day to day of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager:

  • Managing a team of 8 individuals within the warehouse, ensuring training and health and safety practices are kept in line.
  • Handling cycle count of goods in and goods out, sourcing new process improvements needed to improve stock count and accuracy.
  • Managing repairs and servicing on all forklift vehicles, sourcing possible replacements.
  • Handling external couriers for national and international travel ensuring it reaches clients timeframes.
  • Sourcing new talent for the team but monitoring workload to ensure you don't just create a quick fix.
  • Reviewing internal processes for your team, adjusting and improving them where need be.
  • Introducing a new ERP system to maximise efficiency within the organisation.

  • Write up reports for the Operations Manager and updating them on timeframes.
  • Manage and oversee KPI's within your team.

Requirements of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager:

  • Strong experience of being a Warehouse Manager and managing logistics within a manufacturing business.
  • Accreditable ability to improve and change processes.
  • Management of a small team that is growing.
  • Previous experience of introducing and integrating a new system.
