Role overview:
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:
● Driving your company van and managing your own day effectively (as you’ll work mainly on your own).
● Testing, diagnosing and fixing white goods in our customers’ homes.
● Providing and implementing technical knowledge across a range of white goods appliances.
● Building up our reputation as a home services expert.
A lot of the job comes down to skill and efficiency, but building a rapport with customers is just as important. They will welcome you into their homes, and it’ll be down to you to get their products back on track and put their minds at ease.
You will need:
● Proven experience in White Goods repairs.
● Full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
● Ideally (but not essential) ACS Qualifications (or equivalent) in Essential Gas Safety Domestic (CCN1), Gas Cookers and Ranges (CKR1).

Our client, a materials and aggregates provider is seeking 2 x Maintenance Technicians for their site in Barnstone, Nottingham, able to offer between 4 and 6-months work for the right candidates.
This role is working at a cement packing plant that operates 24/7 and the role will involves electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment and machinery across multiple packing areas. Due to the 24/7 operation, candidates will be required to work on rotating shift basis, covering day / afternoon / night and weekend shifts on a rotation basis. (Please note: This average to 37 hours per week)
Candidates will join a small maintenance team and be responsible for routine planned maintenance, fault finding, and ad hoc repairs to ensure continuous production. Initial training includes shadowing experienced technicians across different shifts and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) training provided on site.
The ideal candidate will be Level 3 Electrically Qualified, with 18th Edition being advantageous to hold. The role will include both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, so applicable candidate will have working in similar environments, completed M&E maintenance to production equipment and machinery.
Daily duties will include but are not limited to:
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
- Fault finding and repair of electrical systems including LV switchgear, control gear, and variable speed drives etc.
- Use of CMMS (e.g., SAP PM) for maintenance planning and reporting.
- Safe isolation and adherence to health and safety procedures relevant to the cement manufacturing environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with installation and commissioning activities.
- Work collaboratively within a small, multi-disciplined maintenance team.
On a Rotating Rota Shift Patterns will include a mix of:
- Day Shift (Weekdays) 06:00 - 14:00
- Afternoon Shift (Weekdays) 14:00 - 22:00
- Night Shift (Weekdays) 22:00 - 06:00
- Night Shift (Weekdays) 20:00 - 06:00

Candidate will ideally:

- Liaising and supporting external contractors and suppliers when on site
We are focused on speaking to candidates with the following attributes:
- Recognised Electrical / Mechanical maintenance apprenticeship / training scheme Level 3
- Significant Electrical and Mechanical experience gained in a manufacturing environment (installation and maintenance)
- Understand and interpret Electrical and Mechanical Schematic circuit drawings
- Driving licence as may be required to assist on other sites
