About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic and analytical Marketing Data Analyst to join our team.
This position sits at the intersection of product development, customer success, and business intelligence. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights for our clients, drive product improvements, enhance customer value, and support business growth. This role requires both technical expertise in data analysis and the ability to translate complex findings into strategic recommendations.
It is a unique role that will offer freedom to determine our roadmap and approach to data, whilst working closely with collaborative teams internally and externally to create insights & strategies from data gold mines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead data architecture improvements to enhance accessibility and usability across teams
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop the roadmap
- Lead data reporting & insights for our customer success team in their regular meetings with customers
- Leverage machine learning and AI to provide tools & insights for customer growth
- Use data to enhance audience targeting strategies
- Be a part of an attribution team building and refining models
- Support media planning of our agency partners
- Support Customer Services & New Business with data projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in marketing, digital advertising, or SaaS environments
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
- Strong experience with data visualisation tools and dashboard creation
- Demonstrated ability to build predictive models and conduct statistical analysis
- Understanding of marketing metrics, attribution modeling, and customer journey analytics
- Familiarity or experience in advanced techniques such as machine learning, MMM and propensity modelling
- Analytical Excellence: Ability to conduct complex analyses and derive meaningful insights from large datasets
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of data tools and ability to work with engineering teams
- Business Acumen: Understanding of how data insights drive business value and growth

The Sage Marketing Analytics and Automation team is a dynamic group of operations experts, analysts, data scientists, and technologists focused on driving growth through data-informed decisions. We partner with Marketing and Sales teams to deliver actionable insights across the customer journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of BI developers to deliver data to maintain / extend Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across Marketing, while envisioning and creating new self-service insights through AI platforms.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT and GTM to develop segmentation strategies across platforms (CRM, CDP, etc.), defining segments using demographics, behavioural data, industry attributes, TAM lists, and predictive models. Oversee an off-shore team of BI developers at our agency partner to deliver this customer segmentation for campaigns.
- Redesign and scale our BI and segmentation capabilities, enabling marketing teams to make faster, more personalised decisions with AI-powered insights.
- Integrate agentic AI and machine learning into reporting, forecasting, and segmentation workflows.
- Ensure Sage's marketing data pipelines are fast, reliable, and built to support real-time decision-making across multiple teams, including revisioning ETL flows and semantic layers using Snowflake, DBT, Segment, and AWS technologies.
- Ensure data quality and governance.
- Oversee data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment processes to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Implement archiving and deletion policies in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.
- Manage a team of junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Work with third-party vendors to evaluate and implement data technologies that support Sage's marketing goals.
Skills & Experience:

They will be responsible for designing, executing, and delivering high impact research (both quantitative and qualitative) and translating the strategic insights from this work into clear, actionable implications in addition to serving as a key marketing leader in the region tasked with influencing regional strategies. Proactivity, energy, flexibility, collaboration, and a passion for translating complex ideas into simple and compelling messages is key. This role requires thinking on your feet to problem solve so that we are able to execute research quickly and efficiently to inform inbound and outbound work that equips stakeholders and identifies new opportunities.
