About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Marketing Data Analyst to join our team. 

This position sits at the intersection of product development, customer success, and business intelligence. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights for our clients,  drive product improvements, enhance customer value, and support business growth. This role requires both technical expertise in data analysis and the ability to translate complex findings into strategic recommendations. 

It is a unique role that will offer freedom to determine our roadmap and approach to data, whilst working closely with collaborative teams internally and externally to create insights & strategies from data gold mines. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data architecture improvements to enhance accessibility and usability across teams
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop the roadmap 
  • Lead data reporting & insights for our customer success team in their regular meetings with customers
  • Leverage machine learning and AI to provide tools & insights for customer growth
  • Use data to enhance audience targeting strategies
  • Be a part of an attribution team building and refining models 
  • Support media planning of our agency partners
  • Support Customer Services & New Business with data projects 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in marketing, digital advertising, or SaaS environments
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
  • Strong experience with data visualisation tools and dashboard creation
  • Demonstrated ability to build predictive models and conduct statistical analysis
  • Understanding of marketing metrics, attribution modeling, and customer journey analytics
  • Familiarity or experience in advanced techniques such as machine learning, MMM and propensity modelling

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of BI developers to deliver data to maintain / extend Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across Marketing, while envisioning and creating new self-service insights through AI platforms.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT and GTM to develop segmentation strategies across platforms (CRM, CDP, etc.), defining segments using demographics, behavioural data, industry attributes, TAM lists, and predictive models. Oversee an off-shore team of BI developers at our agency partner to deliver this customer segmentation for campaigns.
- Redesign and scale our BI and segmentation capabilities, enabling marketing teams to make faster, more personalised decisions with AI-powered insights.
- Integrate agentic AI and machine learning into reporting, forecasting, and segmentation workflows.
- Ensure Sage's marketing data pipelines are fast, reliable, and built to support real-time decision-making across multiple teams, including revisioning ETL flows and semantic layers using Snowflake, DBT, Segment, and AWS technologies.
- Ensure data quality and governance.
- Oversee data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment processes to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Implement archiving and deletion policies in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.
- Manage a team of junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Work with third-party vendors to evaluate and implement data technologies that support Sage's marketing goals.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong proficiency in data transformation and modelling techniques using tools such as Snowflake, dbt, and SQL.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric), including semantic modelling.
- Familiarity with version control and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).

**Summary:**
The mission of Marketing Insights is to understand people's lives, experiences, behaviors, attitudes and needs to help Meta communicate brand/product value across the family of apps. Our researchers go beyond service delivery, acting as full-stack partners to help identify and actualize the marketing strategies that connect people and businesses to meaningful products and experiences. We're seeking a Head of Marketing Insights to lead the EMEA Marketing Insights team. This person will partner with stakeholders across Business, Consumer, and Creator Marketing teams. They will be responsible for designing, executing, and delivering high impact research (both quantitative and qualitative) and translating the strategic insights from this work into clear, actionable implications in addition to serving as a key marketing leader in the region tasked with influencing regional strategies. Proactivity, energy, flexibility, collaboration, and a passion for translating complex ideas into simple and compelling messages is key. This role requires thinking on your feet to problem solve so that we are able to execute research quickly and efficiently to inform inbound and outbound work that equips stakeholders and identifies new opportunities. This role is embedded in Meta International Marketing and works across audiences (consumer, business, and creators), products, and markets to deliver global impact leveraging the local delta. Therefore it's vital that this insights leader be able to manage ambiguity, context switching, and rapidly coming up to speed with new areas and stakeholders. While the bulk of the work is EMEA focused, this researcher should be thinking across regions to help inform and unpack global strategies. An understanding of global-local models and the ability to balance market nuance and global positioning will be key.

1. Identify opportunities: Partner with marketing stakeholders to understand customer needs and shape marketing strategies
2. Drive key business decisions: Harness comprehensive, best-in-class quant and qual research solutions to identify core audience truths and translate them into actionable insights and executions
3. Drive and enhance business outcomes: Help EMEA Marketing achieve success against business objectives while maximizing impact, efficiency and customer value. Operate as a full-stack partner across planning, execution, and measurement/optimization
4. Lead team: Manage team of impactful marketing researchers
5. establishing high standards and holding team members accountable for delivering value against business goals. Create the environment needed for success
6. providing vision, facilitating relationships, removing roadblocks, coaching/mentoring, and enabling growth
