My client are a trail-blazing MedTech company with a disruptive diagnostics platform, providing fast and insightful near-patient analysis for a range of unmet clinical needs. As they continue to grow, they are looking to bring onboard a Senior Engineering Technician to play a hands-on role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimising specialised instruments within an ISO 13485-compliant setting. From supporting R&D teams to undertaking proof of concept testing projects, this is an opportunity to contribute directly to innovation in the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities of the Engineer - IVD / Medical Devices will include;
- Investigating and resolving issues with complex electromechanical instrumentation in a BSL-2 laboratory environment.
- Running tests using control software and workshop tools to support ongoing product development.
- Assembling and maintaining R&D devices, rigs, and fixtures using components like microfluidics, pneumatics, sensors, and temperature control systems.
- Providing technical input and collaborating with engineers and scientists across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Drafting and maintaining high-quality documentation (SOPs, BOMs, WIs, reports) in line with ISO 13485 regulations.
- Independently managing tasks and small projects with minimal supervision.

- Proven Engineering experience within medical devices, diagnostics, or another regulated industry.

- Determines and writes standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
