Experienced Inspector - Metal Fabricated products - Immediate start - Leicester - £14.00 per hour - Temporary to Permanent basis. Hours of work 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 12.30pm finish - Lots of overtime available and paid at time + half.
The ideal candidate will be experienced with Inspection of Metal fabrication industry - familiar with High Gauges, rulers and tapes.

About the roleWe’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Metal Fabrication Engineer to join our manufacturing team at Future Generation Services (FGS) based in Rochester, Kent. This is an expansion of our current team, and the role will be responsible for the metal construction, forming and fabrication of our lockers and kiosks.
The role is full-time based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm, but overtime may be available during busy periods, including some options to work weekends.
About Future Generation Services (FGS)Future Generation Services has been designing and manufacturing a range of smart information kiosks and smart lockers for over 25 years here in the UK, across a range of markets covering Transportation, Gaming and Entertainment, Sporting Venues and Pharmaceutical.

The Role By joining our team you’ll:- Work with our Metal Fabrication team and report directly to the Metal Shop Manager
- Work to produce a range of metal products and forms that are assembled into our end products
- Be responsible for maintaining a high standard of quality of workmanship
- Contribute to our product development process and provide feedback to our design team on manufacturing issues.
- Experience working in a metal fabrication environment
- Experience in working with a range of metals including Aluminium, Mild and Stainless Steels of various grades.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Good working knowledge of tools and practices in Metal working
- High Attention to detail
- Good communication skills for teamwork and project coordination
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Good mathematical skills
- Experience in reading technical drawings and specifications
- Must have relevant experience working with the following equipment:
- Guillotine
- Fly press
- Chop saw
- Lvd brake press
- Promecam brake press

Overview
We’re working with a leading engineering business at the forefront of precision metal fabrication, seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer with proven experience in both Linear and Non-Linear FEA . This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, performance, and compliance of lightweight metal structures — particularly aluminium fabrications — across a wide range of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed Linear and Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and fabricated components li>Use ANSYS to perform simulations, validate models, and provide actionable insights to the design and manufacturing teams
- Apply Eurocode standards in structural analysis and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and structural integrity of designs
- Investigate failure modes, fatigue performance, and stress concentrations in metal fabrications
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis methodology and design validation processes
Key Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering (or similar discipline)
- Strong hands-on experience with both Linear and Non-Linear FEA
- Proficient in ANSYS for simulation and structural analysis
- Working knowledge of Eurocodes for compliance in structural design
- Solid understanding of metal fabrication techniques, with a strong focus on aluminium structures
- Experience interpreting and improving designs to meet strength, stiffness, and durability targets
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to weld design and mechanical fastening in lightweight structures
- Familiarity with fatigue analysis, buckling, and large deformation simulations
- Experience working in sectors such as defence, rail, aerospace, or architectural metalwork
