This role is working directly for a telecoms service provider, and they are in a continued stage of growth. They are well funded are constantly winning new contracts with both the private and public sector.

These are an exciting company with 250+ headcount and offices all over the world. They work across both public and private sectors, supplying connectivity, communication and IT solutions to a range of organisations within the maritime, defence and commercial sectors.

Due to growth, we need to increase the headcount within the network engineering team. Chances are, you will have worked in a similar environment in a customer facing networking role. Maybe you’ve been hands on for a number of years and bored of the same mundane day to day routine and want to work in a company that values its employees, is on the forefront of technology, and also work with some very interesting clients.

This role has a blend of internal work as well as being customer facing, meaning you’ll have to have strong customer support skills and ability to interact with customers day to day. You’ll be working alongside another network engineer, dealing with any escalations that the 1st line NOC engineers can’t resolve themselves.

Your background:

We’re looking for a CCNP level network engineer. Likewise, with this being a secure environment, with secure networks, you’ll need to be strong on the security side of things, again ideally with Fortinet technologies (FCSS/FCP level). As well as this, we’re after someone who has been hands on with automation technologies.

This is an all round networking role with elements of designing, building, testing, commissioning and supporting of both secure internal and external networks.  

The office is based in Redhill, so you’ll have to live in a commutable distance from there.

Network Engineer – Cisco/Nexus/ISE/ACI/Fortigate

3 Month contract with extension

We are looking for a number of strong Cisco Engineers with high level experience of design and implementation across Nexus Routing and Switching, ISE, ACI, Firewalls with CCNP or higher certification. The role is an onsite position working on a large scale enterprise level project to overhaul the entire networking security infrastructure.

Your opportunity
+ Design and operate Cisco ACI infrastructure
+ Automate network tasks and processes using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
+ Design, implement and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including Cisco IOS-XE routers and switches, Cisco Nexus datacenter switches, and Cisco 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers
+ Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, including Panorama, and ensure that security policies are up to date and aligned with industry and internal standards
+ Implement and manage network access control using Cisco ISE for 802.1x and TACACS
+ Manage F5 Big-IP load balancers to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications
+ Maintain and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF routing protocols and participate in the design and implementation of routing and switching solutions
+ Monitor the network using SolarWinds network monitoring solutions and take proactive measures to prevent network outages and performance issues
+ Manage Wi-Fi in a large office environment and ensure that wireless network performance meets business requirements
+ Configure and manage WAN Technologies such as Cisco WAAS & VWAAS and SD-WAN Solutions
+ Implement and manage cloud networking concepts in Microsoft Azure, including virtual networks, subnets, security groups, and ExpressRoute connections
+ Work in a global, enterprise-class, mission-critical, 7x24x365 network/telecommunication environment
+ Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Must have skills
+ CCNP certification or equivalent experience
