The Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team, responsible for the successful delivery of digital and IT systems that support the design, construction, and long-term operation of the Sizewell C power station.

You will lead cross-functional projects that span enterprise IT systems, engineering tools, construction technologies, data platforms, and collaboration tools. You will ensure that digital and IT initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with project and business goals.

The Skills

  • Strong track record of delivering IT and digital projects in large, complex organisations.
  • Experience in infrastructure, engineering, energy, or regulated sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Prince2 Practitioner, APM or equivalent).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven experience delivering complex IT or digital transformation projects in large-scale, highly regulated environments (e.g. energy, nuclear, infrastructure, defence)
  • Experience in project and programme management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, MSP) with the ability to adapt methods to suit delivery needs.

They are looking for an experienced and ambitious Project Management professional to work within their civils, working on highways and heavy civils projects in the East Anglia region.

Key duties:

  • Manage site staff, sub-contractors and operatives.
  • Site staff and sub-contractor management.
  • Production of RAMS and project management plans.
  • Monitoring of contract costs against agreed budgets.
  • Preparing programme of works.
  • Manage design co-ordination and the timely completion of contracts.
  • Building good relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff within projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

Change control and associated governance
Control and reporting of contractor delivery
Resolution of the Desalination Plant related issues including integration with Stakeholders and other Contractors and teams: Lead the resolution of Desalination Plant related issues.

Client Satisfaction: Ensure client satisfaction regarding delivery time, cost, and quality of the Desalination Plant.
Team Leadership: Lead a team responsible for the delivery of the desalination plant, including Designers, Temporary Works, other Construction teams and Consents Managers, to ensure compliance with DCO and best practices.
Internal Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure effective coordination with internal stakeholders.
Technical Compliance and Handover: Ensure technical compliance with DCO, Sizewell C IMS, procedures, policies and governance.
Ensure a successful testing, commissioning, and handover to the Desalination Plant to the Operations Team.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
Understand the technical and assurance requirements and associated process for a potable drinking water Desalination system to UK regulations
Utility project management in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Good track record on the delivery of complex projects

Desirable
Familiarity with nuclear power plant projects or similar high-compliance environments.
Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Project Management experience of water systems via a Design and Build route
Knowledge of environmental management and sustainability practices.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in design/management and/or coordination on large construction projects.
Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
Suitable project management accreditations and knowledge of the industry requirements and specifications.
Prior experience in major programme/ projects

Desirable
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in highways and transport? Do you have a passion for delivering high-quality traffic and highways maintenance projects?
This role is key to ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with external consultancies and internal stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Manage a portfolio of traffic and highways maintenance projects.
·Act as the key liaison between consultancies and internal teams.
·Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
·Work closely with the Design Manager to coordinate outsourced design work.
·Monitor consultant performance and ensure project objectives are achieved.
·Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders.
 
What You Will Need:
 
·Proven experience in project management within highways, transport, or infrastructure.
·Strong stakeholder and consultancy management skills.
·Ability to oversee multiple projects and drive successful outcomes.
