We are looking for an experienced sales executive to lead our Northern EMEA Region. One of the priorities of the Sales Director is to coach our existing team and grow the team to expand our footprint within our up market segments, with a focus on Enterprise.
As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for the new revenue coming from the region. This role is a high-impact role which will involve a great combination of commercial, strategic and people management skills. This role requires a strong prospecting mentality, a challenging nature and an excellent knowledge of the different sales processes of an up market sales motion.
We are looking to hire a smart, driven, and experienced leader who is passionate about building sales professionals in a hyper growth environment.
YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:
- Act as the leader and figurehead for the North EMEA sales team (~7-8 AEs spread across London and Paris), strategically building out and executing on a GTM strategy involving decentralized cross-functional collaboration, with the UK market as a priority, followed by the BeNeLux and Nordics.
- Take hands-on responsibility for driving sales growth in the region, providing clear visibility over pipeline, coverage and forecast;
- Hire and retain top talent in the region;
- Provide clear and inspirational leadership (lead through example by building passion, energy and a shared excitement for the business);
- Take all opportunities to inform and educate the North EMEA market about Algolia;
- Quickly analyze the current business, developing a deep understanding of the Algolia solution, its customers and their use of our technology.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated success in sales leadership roles;
- Experience of running a high-performance sales team in the North EMEA region for a business of similar size and accustomed to the demands of quarterly-driven business;
- Strong track-record of driving revenue in an enterprise environment, with a keen sense of how to present solutions-based propositions to market;
- Must possess excellent value-based sales methodology and sales process skills and disciplines;
- Ability to take a planned, data-oriented and analytical approach, including a transparent and accurate forecasting process;
- Proven ability to attract, hire, motivate and retain top talent;
- Strong commitment to building relationships and working collaboratively, and with remote team members and business partners.

Office based, commutable from Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Burton upon Trent, Lichfield, Cannock, Tamworth, Ashbourne, Cheadle, Rugeley, Leek, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Stone and surrounding areas

*Previous Sales Management experience
*Background in Science, Gas, Advanced Engineering or similar
