**As a Loss Prevention Officer at St. Pancras London, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of associates, guests and visitors to this iconic hotel. **You'll be expected to deliver on the following:**
+ Patrol all areas of the property
+ Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress alarms, and fire life safety system
+ Lock property entrances when required
+ Conduct daily physical hazard inspections
+ Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required
+ Assist guests/employees during emergency situations
+ Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents
+ Defuse guest/employee disturbances
+ Call for outside assistance if necessary
+ Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
+ Handle all interruptions and complaints
+ Resolve safety hazard situations
+ Escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
+ Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts
+ Call for assistance using proper code responses
+ Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report. Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents; release information only to authorized individuals
+ Conduct investigations and gather evidence
+ Conduct interviews with relevant parties as part of wider security investigations

**JOB SUMMARY**
As a Director of Loss Prevention, you will be responsible for safeguarding guests, associates and assets, and ensuring that security and loss prevention protocols align with Marriott brand standards. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will lead the security team, develop preventive strategies, manage risk, and contribute to a safe and welcoming guest experience.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
**Education and Experience**
+ Significant experience (ideally 5+ years) in security, loss prevention or risk management within a luxury environment in hospitality, retail or related sectors
+ Leadership experience managing a team, with ability to develop talent and enforce standards
+ Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, especially under pressure
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels
+ Solid knowledge of UK health & safety, security legislation, data protection, licensing, etc.
+ Discreet, proactive, with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism
+ holding an SIA badge is a requirement
+ First Aid CPR certification desirable

**CORE WORK ACTIVITIES**
+ Assists in the development and implementation of emergency procedures.
+ Oversee all security and loss prevention operations across the hotel (public areas, back-of-house, guest rooms, external perimeters).
+ Develop, implement, and monitor emergency response procedures (fire, medical, evacuation, security threats).
+ Lead investigations into incidents of loss, theft, damage or safety concerns; maintain accurate records and reports.
+ Supervise, train and mentor security officers and associates, ensuring professionalism, vigilance and discretion.
+ Liaise with local law enforcement, emergency services and external stakeholders; and ensure compliance with UK legal requirements, Marriott policies, and industry best practices.
+ Conduct regular risk assessments, threat analyses and audits; propose and execute mitigation plans.

**JOB SUMMARY**
Protect and safeguard the hotel guests and associates, their belongings, the hotel building and all hotel assets. Respond rapidly to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional manner.
**POSITION SUMMARY**
+ Patrol all areas of the property, noting unusual circumstances or safety violations.
+ Defuse guest or employee disturbances/altercations in accordance with company policies and procedures, including summoning appropriate emergency services if necessary, and documenting incident.
+ Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), duress alarms, and fire life safety system to ensure that any unusual behavior or emergency situations are responded too suitably, and the appropriate personnel are dispatched/action is taken.
+ Respond to the scene of guest or employee accidents and determine if first aid is required, administer first aid to guests or employees as required.
+ Assist guests or employees during emergency situations, such as fire, evacuation, bomb threat, robbery, floods etc.
+ Document, report and follow up on all safety and security hazards and violations, notifying the Director of Loss Prevention and where applicable, the GM/leadership team, emergency services, or other appropriate individuals as per property policy. This includes the completion of incident reports and accident forms.
+ Handle business interruptions and complaints, such as suspicious individuals, civil disturbances or demonstrations, noise complaints, intoxicated individuals, etc.
+ Escort any unwelcome persons (e.g., trespassers, loiterers) from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation.
+ Call for assistance when required.
+ Enforce the hotel associate entrance policy, bag check policy, red sticker policy and master key procedure.
+ Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report to ensure that all information is properly logged.
+ Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents and release information only to authorized individuals.
+ To be empowered to deal with guest problems, through using the LEARN process, and seeking advice when unsure what to do.
+ Greet all guests and co-workers in a hospitable manner, using appropriate and professional language and in the case of the guest, using the guests' name as often as possible if known.

Job Purpose

To assist the EUA Legal & Insurance Assistant Manager with providing legal, documentary and P&I-related support and guidance within the Europe & Africa region (EUA), including effective liaison with General Headquarters (GHQ) Singapore (primarily GHQ Legal), and Regional EUA Teams, including regularly liaising with and monitoring of the service provided by P&I Club Regional Correspondents and their principal P&I Club(s).

Primary Job Responsibilities and Measurement

Loss Prevention & Claims

  • To assist with monitoring local investigation of incidents and claims handling within ONE EUA Offices and Third-Party Agents (TPAs), providing guidance and assistance where necessary whilst communicating effectively with all interested parties.
  • To assist with coordinating with other involved parties, such as the P&I Club, surveyors, fire-experts, lawyers, etc., in the event of any ONE or Consortium vessels being involved in a major incident.
  • To assist with planning and coordinating Claims and Loss Prevention workshops on a rolling basis as and when they are required within the EUA region.
  • Monitor and, where appropriate, circulate relevant P&I and Insurance market / industry news to pertinent EUA Departments.
  • Proactively build productive and mutually supportive links with P&I and Insurance Colleagues in other Regions and GHQ to foster best practice across the organisation.
  • Answering day-to-day documentation queries of varying complexity, including bill of lading issues, ship certificates, indemnities, and letters of credit queries.
  • To monitor the standard and content of survey reports for ONE’s P&I related incidents within EUA, raising specific questions with surveyors and correspondents as necessary to ensure ONE’s interests are fully protected.
  • Assist with monitoring trend statistics and contributing to loss prevention initiatives to improve risk awareness and encourage risk management practices within EUA (e.g., to alert and coordinate with external specialist providers on serious theft and fraud investigations).
  • Support the ‘EUA Loss Prevention Officer’ network by providing pertinent training and guidance to actively facilitate the LPO’s scaffolded support to their own specific EUA country/region.
  • Assist with reviewing relevant Customer Contract / Maritime Contract(s) upon request of pertinent ONE teams.

Skills, Qualifications and Expertise

  • Must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of documentation procedures.
  • IT literate with at minimum intermediate skills in Google suite.
  • Experience within the shipping industry would be ideal.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in leading teams within IT security, compliance and risk management, data privacy, or security controls.
- 3+ years' experience advising customers on architectures meeting NIST-based industry standards such as NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.

Key Responsibilities:

Protection of Property and Premises

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.

• Monitor fire and other alarms liaising with Landlord security.

Prevent Loss and Waste

Prevent and Deter Crime  

• Operate CCTV and any other physical security equipment used on site.  

• Always identify and challenge unauthorised access.  

• Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities.  

Customer Service  

• Display an outstanding level of customer service.  

• Take responsibility for problems that staff, and visitors may have.  

• Display the highest standard of personal presentation to uphold the image of ABM and CRB.  

• Answer telephone calls professionally and in accordance with the Assignment Instructions. Continuous Improvement
