This leading specialist contractor is looking for someone in particular who's self motivated and has the ability to work infifth gear!
There's only going to be one other setting engineer on site, so you'll be expected to muck in and wear several hats, working closely with the Project Manager.
This project will run for about 12 months, however if all goes well, they'll be plenty of opportunities to work on other projects after - so long term if that's what you're after.
Ideally you'll have your civil engineering degree and at least five years as a Project Engineer on London projects - preferablycut & carve.

Scope of workswill involve multi-level basements, RC structures (both new and alterations), RC cores, steel frame elements and various methods of temporary works. With their growth they will also be managing internal works on a number of their projects but this experience is beneficial not essential. Duration is 18-24 months.
The role will require but not limited to:
- Taking full control of on-site engineering team ensuring all quality, setting out and record keeping is at a high standard
- Review temporary work design and supporting implementation
- Reporting on progress
- Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Head of Engineering
- Forward looking, making suggestions on any possible obstructions/ delays
- Client management

• Site surveys

Essential Skills
• CSCS card
• Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems and dry riser systems
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and similar project management software

I’m currently recruiting for a Project Engineer on behalf of one of the leading main contractor. This is a site-based role, working on a cut and carve project.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for any technical issues, reporting directly to the Project Manager. My client is looking for experienced with cut and carve schemes and someone who has been involved in demolition, piling, temporary works installation, bulk excavation, basement construction and core build.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise during construction phases, including interpreting drawings and resolving technical issues. li>Ensure construction work meets design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and progress reports.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee and integrate design inputs from architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project goals.
- Manage design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
- Propose design alternatives that optimize cost and performance.
- Ensure designs comply with planning permissions, building regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for design-related discussions with clients and stakeholders.
- Lead design teams, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experience within cut and carve is essential
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar position ideally < i>Health and Safety qualification, SMSTS, CSCS Managers black card essential.

Paying £400 a shift + Outside IR35 + Weekly Payments
