Account Director (PPC, SEO) - Independent Media Agency
Location: London (Hybrid, 3 days office / 2 days WFH)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Aspire has partnered with an award-winning independent media agency known for combining creativity, strategy, and innovation to deliver measurable results for brands across multiple sectors. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Account Director to join the team.
This is a client-facing leadership role where you'll take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, building strong relationships, driving performance, and ensuring seamless campaign delivery across Paid Search and SEO.
Role Overview
The Account Director will manage the full account lifecycle - from onboarding and campaign analysis through to strategy, reporting, and contract renewal. You will act as a trusted consultant to clients, ensuring campaigns not only perform but also drive long-term business growth.
This role requires a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of SEO and Paid Search, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead client conversations at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Client Management
Lead client relationships, acting as a digital marketing consultant and trusted advisor.
Plan and execute SEO strategies and Paid Search campaigns (Search, Shopping & Display).
Project manage all campaign processes to ensure smooth delivery.
Analyse and troubleshoot campaigns, providing clear insights and recommendations.
Deliver accurate, high-quality reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Understand client businesses and market trends to build competitive campaign structures.
New Business & Pitch Support
Support pitch activity with research, insights, SEO audits, and account reports.
Build effective media plans in response to RFPs.
Training & Team Development
Upskill and support colleagues on SEO best practices and campaign execution.
Share knowledge and frameworks across the wider digital team.
Best Practice & Offering Development
Contribute to the development of updated SEO & Paid Search processes.
Collaborate with strategy, planning, and data teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
Support the rollout of SEO measurement frameworks and KPIs.
Ensure all client deliverables are quality controlled and delivered to the highest standards.
What We're Looking For
4+ years' experience managing SEO and Paid Search campaigns in an agency environment.
Strong background in eCommerce including Google Shopping.
Google Ads Certified and skilled in Google Analytics (other analytics tools a bonus).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication skills with experience managing senior client stakeholders.
Commercially minded with experience managing account revenue, profitability, and forecasting.
Organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple projects at once.
Bonus: Experience managing Paid Social campaigns.
