Role Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Salesforce Developer with strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Service Cloud . You will be joining a major defence programme, contributing to the development and enhancement of Salesforce solutions that support critical business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement solutions within Salesforce Service Cloud .
Customise Salesforce applications to align with business and functional requirements.
Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
Provide technical expertise on Salesforce configuration, integration, and best practices.
Contribute to ongoing improvements, enhancements, and support of existing Salesforce environments.
Key Skills & Experience
Vast hands-on Salesforce development experience, particularly with Service Cloud .
Proficient in Salesforce configuration, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integration methods.
Strong background working on projects within the defence sector or similar regulated industries (e.g. MoD, MoJ, BAE Systems, or equivalent).
Familiarity with working on secure environments and compliance-driven projects.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Clearance Requirements
Active SC Clearance is highly desirable.
Candidates with lapsed SC Clearance (within the last 6 - 12 months) may also be considered.

A super cool Fintech start up who are disrupting the wealth management/financial advice space are looking to add a Salesforce Developer to their existing Salesforce team. Their mission statement is to make wealth management accessible to everyone in the UK, no matter their financial status and they're hoping you might be able to help them with that mission! They've doubled in size as a business over the last 3 years and they've pretty much reached their limit with configuration so you'll be leveraging code to improve processes such as guided mortgage advice and compliance review.
Key notes on the role below:
- Strong technical hire, capable of building using APEX and LWCs to take some of the technical responsibilities away from the Product Lead
- Trusted to act independently and autonomously, without the Product Lead hand holding - must be able to hit the ground running
- Confidence to challenge the Product Lead on strategy, new processes, products, enhancements etc.
- Authenticity and ability to gel with the rest of the team is key
- Salesforce consulting background (highly desirable)
- Exposure/interest in Omnistudio (desirable)
- Financial Services experience desirable, but not essential

What you'll be doing…
The Future Subscriptions ecosystem is complex with numerous integration points across Future technologies, 3rd party suppliers and vendors.
The Subscriptions platform, known as Bluebird, sits at the centre of this ecosystem and drives the fulfilment of subscriptions for Future; handling all aspects of the subs fulfilment lifecycle. This includes everything from acquisition to renewal and includes payments, revenue recognition, schedules, ABC reporting, customer management, comms and integrations with numerous third party vendors for additional fulfilment services.
The technology that makes up the Bluebird platform consists of 3 cloud platforms - Salesforce (Sales/Service), Zuora (the billing engine), and MuleSoft (ETL/ ESB). This platform connects with other Future systems which includes the Future ecommerce site.
This role will be responsible for the ongoing support and development of the platform, primarily within Salesforce, to execute and deliver the business strategy working with the Subscriptions and Marketing teams as well as supporting the delivery of the technical strategy.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- Experience in Salesforce.com Architecture, Design and Development.
- Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Apex and Visualforce development, with developer certification (Dev401 and Dev501)
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com development environment including Apex, Triggers, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Migration Tools, and Web Services.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems, CRM, SFA, and ERP
- Experience with web service integration (REST/SOAP) and API
