Semi Skilled Operative

Job Description
Flexo Printer – £32k–£7k
Day shift, Monday to Friday
I’m looking for a flexo printer who’s comfortable doing more than just standing at a press all day.
If your idea of a good day at work is one where you clock in, stare at the same machine, and clock out — this isn’t it.
The company’s small. That means two things:
- You’ll get noticed for doing a good job.
- You’ll sometimes be asked to help in areas that aren’t “technically” your job.
One day you might be running their high-speed, wide web flexo press, the next you could be mixing colours, tweaking a process, or fetching a pallet on the forklift. If that variety sounds like a nightmare, we can save you the trouble now.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Producing high-quality flexible packaging
- Helping set up a brand-new printing line (not many get to do that)
- Colour mixing and matching
- Pushing machine speeds without sacrificing quality
- Keeping on top of the paperwork (the useful kind, not the pointless kind)
- Lending a hand in stock picking, van driving, and other areas when needed
What you’ll need:
- Experience in packaging or printing (flexo experience would be ideal)
- A good eye for detail and the ability to fix problems before they get bigger
- The kind of flexibility that makes small teams work
- A forklift licence would be handy — if not, they’ll train you
What’s in it for you:
- £32k–£37k depending on experience < i>
- Company pension
- Onsite parking
- Proper training from people who know what they’re doing
- A close-knit team where you’re not just a payroll number
- The chance to make your mark on a brand-new printing line
Day shift, Monday to Friday. Evenings and weekends are yours.
If you like the sound of that and can bring the right skills and mindset, I’d like to talk to you.
