Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist the Engineering Manager in creating a high-performing team aimed at achieving zero breakdowns and eliminating machine setup issues.
- Perform planned mechanical maintenance tasks autonomously to maximise machinery uptime and minimise production disruption.
- Support reactive mechanical maintenance tasks proactively, ensuring minimal production downtime in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
- Conduct mechanical installations and adjustments, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Help in creating and reviewing mechanical risk assessments, SOPs, OPLs, and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
- Conduct effective fault diagnosis using mechanical root cause analysis to identify problems and determine solutions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, service providers, and department managers.
- Suggest mechanical process improvements to foster a culture of continuous improvement and support future business growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic individual.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally within fresh produce or FMCG.
- Formal Qualification in Mechanical Engineering with significant experience in mechanical maintenance and installations.

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and diligent electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. The purpose of this role is to support with and facilitate the planned, preventative and routine maintenance of a range of equipment and machinery on site to ensure the smooth running of our facility.
Responsibilities may include:
- To ensure all machines and equipment are maintained to the optimum standards through adequate maintenance
- Using fault finding techniques, react quickly to faults and breakdowns, communicating clearly with affected parties and working efficiently to fix the issue.
- Minimise the likelihood of breakdowns by keeping equipment in a good state of repair and seeking continuous improvement opportunities by looking for ways to reduce the cost impact to the business as a result of downtime and ensuring a systematic planned maintenance programme is in place
- Communicate with production teams to advance plan for downtime on machinery for service/modification or repairs that need carrying out
- Maintaining a stock of critical spare parts as well as ordering parts for service and repair work
- Ensuring work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with health and safety regulations

- Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and benchmarking best-practice
Our perfect Multi-Skilled Engineer would have:
- Proven experience of working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a similar manufacturing environment
- An electrical apprenticeship served (City & Guilds), HNC, ONC, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition or similar
- A strong electrical basis with mechanical skills
- A strong awareness of and full commitment to the adherence of health and safety guidelines
- A proactive approach with a focus on driving improvement
- Excellent attention to detail; strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience of using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
- Effective communication skills; can engage with all levels of the business with a minimum of B2 in English
- The ability to manage multiple tasks with the ability to reprioritise whilst continuing to manage expectations
- PLC fault finding & diagnostics experience
The hours you would work:
A 4 on 4 off rotating shift comprising of 07:00-19:00 and 12:00-24:00. During peak periods, shifts may change to 09:00-21:00

- Project = Working on a commercial project.
- Duties = Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to M&E plant in line with statutory requirements and best industry standards.
- Qualifications/Experience = You MUST be Electrical bias with mechanical experience. You must also be L8 trained and NICEIC emergency lighting trained with Electrical and Mechanical Qualifications.
- Duration = 1 month minimum.

What is the day-to-day of the role
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the home, inside and out, including decorating, repairs on furnishings and buildings to ensure a safe environment is maintained. Liaising with the Home Manager to identify any priorities.
- Implement and monitor all Health and Safety at work requirements and any relevant legislation. Assist in keeping facilities management logs up to date, along with regulation paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and general tidiness of all external hard areas, Inspect outside fabric of building and all fences, gates, walls, steps, lights, etc. Report/repair defects as appropriate.
- Maintain landscaping of external areas to include grass mowing, pruning and other aspects of gardening as required.
- Undertake Minor plumbing repairs i.e. fixing or replacing taps, unblocking toilets, repair minor leaks, replacement of TRVs etc.
- Monitor the boiler/heating systems and order oil supplies (if relevant) to ensure it is kept running on a day-to-day basis to meet the home's needs.
- Assist the operational staff where required / directed to do so to move furniture, etc
- Oversee the annual testing of electrical portable appliances in the home.
- Undertake any reasonable duties as may be required by the Home Manager.
Required Skills and Qualification
- Previous experience of general building maintenance and gardening.
- Ability to use a range of basic tools and machinery.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements / COSHH etc
- Able to work with and be sensitive to the needs of children and their families.

Multi Skilled Operative - Dartford
A labourer/handyman is needed for a long-term, full-time position in the Dartford area. Working with one of the UK's largest Property Security, Maintenance and Management companies.
Duties will include:
- To drive the team van when required.
- The installation and removal of steel doors, screens and Perma steel to both residential and commercial building across the southeast region.
- All associated tasks as requested by the supervisor.
- Fitting and installing security products
- Cleaning and clearing vacant social housing properties, both the interior and exterior gardens. after the tenant has vacated the property.
- Remove any old/damaged outbuildings/sheds from the garden.
- Trim back hedges and grassed garden areas
- Remove any debris left in gardens/tards/driveways.
- Deliver and retrieve security keys.
- Any other tasks as directed by the site manager.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (Hours may vary due to travelling to and from the jobs but you will be paid for this also)
These roles will become permanent after 13 weeks probation if all goes well.
Training will be provided.
Immediate starts available.
Other Information
- It is to cover the southeast region, you will not just be working in Leyton
- Candidates will be required to complete an induction.
- This is a demanding and physical job role.
- Pay rate is 14.87
- When candidates are taken on permanent the rate will be 13.27 + candidates will receive annual leave with BH included and other benefits.
