We currently have an opportunity to join our Facilities Management team as an Electrician (Multi-skilled).
Your role:
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work across a wide range of buildings and sites including council properties, town and parish buildings, and commercial facilities.
As part of a small, dedicated team, you'll be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, rewiring, testing, and repairs. You'll also take on general maintenance tasks, from minor fixes to major refurbishments, and be expected to respond to emergency call-outs as part of a rota system.
What you will need:
You will be a fully qualified Electrician, with knowledge of commercial and domestic maintenance work, and have experience of inspection, fault finding and testing. You should also be competent in at least one other trade and have a proactive attitude towards health and safety.
You'll be working closely with colleagues and clients, so good communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.

The role
With a new state of art infrastructure and recent investment in VBS and technology we are looking for the right individual to support our Operations team in Felixstowe.
As a Multi Skilled Operative you will be responsible for loading and unloading HGV vehicles in the yard using top-spec and the newest lifting equipment ranging from 2.5 tonnes to 72 tonnes, and working as a team and getting involved in a variety of projects. You will be using bespoke technology to guide you through the day, all while sharing our culture and belief of health and safety being the number one priority.
The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training in operating all lifting equipment and utilising internal systems and technology therefore previous experience is not required.
Key responsibilities
- To service vehicles with the correct containers and in a timely manner.
- Stack shipping containers.
- Effectively and safely operate container handling equipment.
- Communicate with yard team and Terminal Coordinators to ensure efficient working and accuracy in terms of the correct container timing and availability.
- Maintain H&S standards.
About you
- Holder of full UK driving licence
- Deep understanding of the importance of health and safety and be committed to always upholding a safe approach to all tasks.
It's great, but not required, if you:
- Have previous forklift experience.
- Have previous container industry experience.

**Responsibilities and daily activities:**
- Understand and comply with all clients and CBRE QHSE policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability and Quality leading on activities where required.
- Support successful delivery and upkeep of contractor Logbooks to CBRE QHSE compliance requirements in readiness for regular audits.
- Ensure the PPM's are carried out in a high calibre manner and on time, adhering to specific contract KPI/SLA's.
- Complete any necessary paperwork timeously and comprehensively and feedback directly into the contract QHSE systems.
- Involvement in small projects and extra work.
- Receiving and reviewing quotes from sub-contractors.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

· Ability to multi-task and manage workload effectively.
· Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines.
· Meet the physical requirements of this role including standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 20KG. or more.
