+ Set up and changeover of equipment

+ Solid understanding of engineering principles

- Liaise with other central MEL functions e.g., central engineering, EHSQ
- Carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder’s capability
What are the required skills?
- Maintenance background (mechanical or electrical, City & Guilds)
- Competent and experienced in core mech/elect workshop skills
- CMMS experience ideally SAP - PM Module
- Experience of contractor control systems
- Working with CI to deliver performance enhancements

Onboard Corrugated is an independent and highly responsive plant focused on sustainable competitiveness. With a team of 85 dedicated professionals, we operate two state-of-the-art corrugators: a 2.5m machine running E, B, C, P, BB, EB, PB, and BC flutes, and a 2.8m machine running E, B, C, EB, and BC flutes. Our operations are based out of a 144,000 square feet site in Wolverhampton, ensuring high-quality production and delivery.
Roles Description
These are full-time on-site roles for skilled people on Corrugators & Box Manufacturing Machinery Skilled Setter-Operators in Wolverhampton and West Bromwich. You will be responsible for setting up and operating corrugating machinery, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of operations. Daily tasks will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to safety and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in setting up and operating corrugating machinery
- Knowledge in monitoring production processes and quality assurance
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues
- Understanding of safety and operational standards
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machine operation is a plus
