Electrical Supervisor – 12-Month FTC (Potential to Go Permanent)
Location: Barrow upon Humber
Salary: £55,000 + Tonnage Bonus + Overtime
Hours: 12-hour shifts | 180-hour monthly contract (overtime paid over this)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Manager in overseeing the electrical operations on site
- Lead, mentor, and support the electrical team in a busy automated bulk terminal environment
- Work on and maintain cranes, control panels , and PLC-based systems
- Supervise and coordinate contractors and third-party engineers
- Drive and maintain high Health & Safety standards across electrical operations
- Contribute to the installation and integration of new electrical systems and technologies
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal standards
- Hands-on involvement with fault-finding, diagnostics, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
- Experienced Electrical Supervisor (or similar senior role) in an industrial or automated setting
- Strong technical background with cranes, control panels , and ideally PLC systems
- AP12 qualification is a bonus
- Proven leadership skills – able to manage and develop a team in a high-demand environment
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices and regulations
- Proactive, confident, and not afraid to take ownership or drive improvements
- Flexible approach to shift and weekend work as part of the team’s rota

Mechanical Supervisor – 12-Month FTC (Potential to Go Permanent)
Location: Barrow upon Humber

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Manager in day-to-day operations of the mechanical team
- Split role: 50% hands-on with machinery / 50% team leadership and coordination
- Lead, train, and develop the engineering team to meet performance and safety goals
- Oversee and improve planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Work with and support external contractors on-site
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, driving a culture of safety across the site
- Contribute to site improvements and integration of new mechanical systems
- Take ownership of conveyor systems and automated processes (bulk terminal operation)
About You:
- Experienced Mechanical Supervisor (or similar) from a heavy industrial/engineering environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge – conveyors, belt systems, automated machinery
- Hands-on and comfortable leading from the front
- Health & Safety focused – committed to driving safety improvements
- Confident, resilient, and not afraid to challenge the norm
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to drive change
- Flexible to support shift and weekend work as needed

As a Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Oversee daily engineering operations and support team management and development.
- Maintain safety, quality, and hygiene standards across all activities.
- Ensure accurate documentation and CMMS records are kept up to date.
- Support resource planning, shift cover, and on-call duties.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and lead or support planned shutdowns.
- Manage spares, purchasing, and contractor risk assessments.
- Assist with performance reviews, continuous improvement, and project delivery.
- Act as deputy in the Engineering Manager’s absence.
- Promote teamwork, compliance with company policies, and flexibility in duties.
- Occasional travel to other sites.
Ideal Candidate:
- Self-motivated
- Previous experience in a supervisor role preferred
- In-depth fault-finding ability
- Good communication skills, with a positive, proactive can - do attitude to your team and others
- Challenge people, hold them accountable for job completion and quality of completion
Working Hours:
Monday- Friday 8:00-16:30.
