We’re currently recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing business based in West Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service through efficient logistics management.
As a key part of the operations team, you’ll take the lead in organising and scheduling transport across the UK, ensuring goods are delivered on time, in full, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transport for both internal movements and external customer deliveries li>Manage relationships with external transport providers, ensuring cost-efficiency and reliability
- Communicate with customers to confirm deliveries and site-specific requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery records and update systems accordingly
- Liaise with the operations team to meet agreed delivery deadlines
- Identify and report any delivery issues, delays, or follow-ups to customer support
- Process and verify transport invoices, passing them to the accounts team for payment
- Proactively resolve logistical issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
What We ’ re Looking For:

We are looking for a dedicated International Logistics Coordinator to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing overseas shipping processes and ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the obtaining of overseas shipping quotes on import and export shipping.
- Analyse and compare quotes to encourage savings across the business.
- Arrange all Goods In requests from suppliers/purchasing, liaising with the Purchasing Team as well as the Warehouse with regards to what’s coming in and when.
- Arrange shipments within the UK as well as from Europe/Far East on a daily/weekly basis to ensure our suppliers are delivering to us in a timely manner.
- Record shipping information on company systems to support logistical business decisions and other departments in the company.
- Complete import / export customs documentation to ensure most efficient / cost effective procedures can be taken advantage of.
- Continuous monitoring of forwarder / haulier performance and continuously check for volume uplift.
- Support purchasing & customer care team to provide advice on ETAs for import and export consignments.
- Maintain working relationships with freight forwarders.
- Maintain good relationships with overseas suppliers and customers when in direct communication.
- Support the international Logistics team with any day-to-day tasks and holiday/sick cover.
- Track transport costs for freight into Pineapple and other ad hoc costs as required by Senior Management and report to the management on a monthly basis.
Requirements
- Proven experience in overseas freight experience and the methods of transportation knowledge.
- Experience working in a supply chain / logistics environment.
- Familiar with UK/EU/US/Far East customs processes.
- Negotiation skills regarding price and service.
- Commercial mind-set.
- Efficient, accurate, and disciplined process-driven administration skills.
- Proficient in MS Office packages – namely Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
