TeacherActive are looking for Teaching Assistants in Rusholme to have the opportunity to work in a variety of Primary schools on a full-time basis. We build great relationships with our schools and support staff so we can find the best placements for you.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to cover from Early Years to Key Stage 2 for day to day, short term and long term placements supporting children in with their education. This is a great chance to gain experience to add to your CPD and keep everyday exciting.

The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should:

  • Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant
  • Hold a Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Preferably available to work between 08:30 – 15:30

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Part-Time (3 days per week), Fixed-Term (Minimum 12 months)

A highly respected secondary school in South Manchester , known for its outstanding achievements and inclusive ethos, is seeking a caring and committed individual to provide 1:1 academic support to a KS3 student . This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting a student’s learning and confidence over an extended period.

About the Role

  • p>Providing personalised, 1-to-1 academic support to a KS3 girl , helping her to stay engaged and make sustained progress across the curriculum

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to adapt resources and support strategies

  • Supporting the student’s independence, motivation, and wellbeing in a consistent and nurturing manner

  • Contributing to a positive school experience by reinforcing classroom learning and encouraging self-belief

  • Role to be carried out across three days per week , on a regular schedule

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience working with students in a school or education support setting (tutoring, TA, LSA, mentoring, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a student-centred approach

  • Ability to build positive relationships and encourage resilience in learners

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in line with KCSIE guidance

Pay

From £90 a per day, depending on experience and qualifications
