Our client has an exciting opportunity for experienced Electrical Technicians/Panel Wirers to join their Production Team at its engineering and manufacturing facility in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Undertaking electrical modifications of electric and diesel-powered equipment to meet specification
- Light fabrication to make mounting brackets inside enclosures and for ancillaries Populating enclosures to wiring standards, and wire the electrical system to wiring diagram and engineering instruction
- Selecting appropriate cables and components for each project
- Reading and interpret engineering instructions (drawings, wiring diagrams, photographs) to achieve project specification
- Discussing requirements with the team leader and engineer as part of the engineering review
- Completing project documentation as required
- Documenting any aspects or components developed during the project for future reference
- Participating in continuous improvement activities
- Operating within the guidelines of the Company's policies and procedures, ISO9001 and internal work instructions
- Complying with the Company's health and safety policy, procedures and processes Ensuring that all areas, plant and equipment are kept in a clean and safe working condition and that the general area is kept in a clean and tidy state
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
- Experience in panel wiring.
- Proven experience within a bespoke or low volume varied electrical role
- Ability to read and understand engineering/technical drawings and processes.
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to complete required documentation and records in a timely manner
- Proactive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude
- Strong team ethic
- Willingness to adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures and processes Willingness to learn additional skills
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Own suitable tool kit required to complete duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for control and supervision of work tasks for planned and reactive maintenance with support from the building Engineering Supervisor and Shift Leader. They will also be liaising with Engineering management and client personnel to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements.
The candidate will be required to operate as an Authorised person ensuring all required safety paperwork is completed to a high standard whilst also ensuring alignment with company policies and safe system of work.
Whilst on site the Data Centre Shift Technician will report to the Engineering Shift Leader and will support the shift teams to ensure all works are carried out safely, to a high standard and within site specific time constraints. This role is a continental shift role for an experienced HVAP.
**Role Summary**
+ Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
+ Respond to Building Management System alarms and effect emergency repairs as needed.
+ Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
+ Ensure required switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs are created and utilised in line with Company policies and SSOW
+ Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard
+ Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant
+ Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of REALM task sheets
+ Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all in house tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices are adhered to
+ Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes
+ Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff and clients' staff
+ Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required
+ Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted
+ Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning
