Assembly Technicians Required Dorking - Immediate Starts Available
Key Authorities and Responsibilities:
* To be able to read and understand engineering drawings, for sub-assemblies, taking note of fitting tolerances and critical dimensions.
* Working to drawings and build instructions, be able to build complex assemblies with up to 150 components on a bill of materials.
* An awareness of how to fault find and determine cause of failure or issues, to develop a solution.
* Have a keen eye for detail, being able to identify contaminants in a built assembly that would cause the instrument to fail under test.
* To be able to work efficiently with an eye to continuous improvement, trying to save time and increase output.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Ability:
* Be a self-starter that can work independently towards set targets and goals
* Attention to detail
* Be organised in working process, having an awareness of 5S systems.
* Has experience in CNC machining, manual turning and sheet metal process.
* Is a hands on problem solver.
* An understanding of MRP systems (Works order cards and routings)
* Able to work with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook)
* To be able to work safely, following risk assessments, H&S guidance and best practice.
* At least 5 years' experience in the field of engineering required.
* Experience with Insinga
* Knowledge and experience of Manual lathe
* Skills akin to a tool maker for one off orders in addition to bulk orders
* Ability to use measuring tools i.e., micrometre, digital caliper
Normal working hours, 07.00 to 15.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.00 to 12.00 Friday, 30 mins lunch, 20 days paid leave per annum, plus 8 statutory bank holidays. (Option to start at 06.00 and finish earlier each day)
Company pension contribution 3% of basic salary and non-contributory health cash plan.

Soldering / IPC Technicians Urgently required for a specialist organisation based near Guildford. We are looking for skilled Operatives who hold IPC Certifications or are used to working to IPC standards as you will be working on high profile complex electronics that are required to be the highest standard possible.
This role will involve fault finding, diagnostics, repairs, and refurbishments of electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies. You will hold top level soldering skills but also have the capability and experience of basic wiring and crimping.

Role requirements
- Primary role will be building flight hardware to IPC and ESA standard.
- This will include PCA, Module build, and harness work.
- Diagnose, fault-find, and repair electronic/electrical assemblies
- Carry out soldering (SMT & through-hole) and PCB rework to a high standard.
- Experience with electronic diagnostics and test equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow procedures.
- Hands-on skills in crimping, torque tightening, and mechanical assembly.
- Utilise electronic test equipment including multimeters, light sensors, and diagnostic software.
- Support the development of repair and test procedures.
Qualifications Knowledge & Skills
- A good knowledge in soldering and wiring practices.
- Strong soldering and PCB rework skills (IPC-610 / IPC-7711/21 desirable).
- Prior experience in electronic repair/maintenance (rail industry advantageous).
- Proven practical, hands-on ability.
- Good general computing skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Clear communication skills.

**Purpose of the Job**
The successful candidate will be responsible for control and supervision of work tasks for planned and reactive maintenance with support from the building Engineering Supervisor and Shift Leader. They will also be liaising with Engineering management and client personnel to ensure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with site policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements.
The candidate will be required to operate as an Authorised person ensuring all required safety paperwork is completed to a high standard whilst also ensuring alignment with company policies and safe system of work.
Whilst on site the Data Centre Shift Technician will report to the Engineering Shift Leader and will support the shift teams to ensure all works are carried out safely, to a high standard and within site specific time constraints. This role is a continental shift role for an experienced HVAP.
**Role Summary**
+ Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
+ Respond to Building Management System alarms and effect emergency repairs as needed.
+ Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
+ Ensure required switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs are created and utilised in line with Company policies and SSOW
+ Ensure that Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard
+ Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant
+ Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of REALM task sheets
+ Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all in house tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices are adhered to
+ Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised and comply with contractual commitments and site operating processes
+ Develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff and clients' staff
+ Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required
+ Ensure a professional image of CBRE is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is always delivered and promoted
+ Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning
+ Ensuring work packs include required documentation including review of Subcontractor RAMS
+ Responsible for ensuring training and personal development kept up to date,
+ Strong Team Culture will be required.
+ Responsible for Incident Support in the event of any unplanned incidents / faults on site.

**Experience / Skillset Required**
+ Manual Handling Training would be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the assembly of prototype and development sports cars.
- Accurately record data into the build book/log, including torque and serial number details.
- Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, identifying process improvements and corrective measures to enhance efficiency.
- Uphold shop safety initiatives and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Maintain the production standard of general housekeeping duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle repair, or HND in Automotive or associated Engineering subject.
- 3+ years’ experience in an automotive dealership, motorsport, or OEM environment, ideally within low-volume, high-performance manufacturing.
