What you’ll be doing?
  • To handle all contacts, including challenging technical calls, to a high standard
  • To spend time ‘in the field and office’ with a Diageo Engineer to fully understand the Guinness quality processes & to gain an in-depth knowledge of ‘bar and cellar’ set-ups
  • Accurately diagnose and resolve technical faults over the phone/email using your problem-solving & technical knowledge skills
  • To take part in our Guinness accreditation program to become certified as a product and technical expert
  • Attend training and briefing sessions (internally and externally) as necessary to gain an understanding of Client and Contact Centre requirements and to continuously develop fundamental skills

In this role, you will carry out installation, maintenance, and commissioning of roadside technology equipment, supporting the smooth operation of the highways network.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of roadside technology equipment.
  • Undertake software, hardware, and systems testing to ensure equipment functionality and reliability.
  • Support the Assistant Project Manager in planning and delivering projects, including assisting with budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Supervise operational teams and subcontractors on site to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures, producing required documentation.
  • Complete accurate and timely reporting from all systems, achieving KPIs in line with annual objectives.
  • Work proactively to identify and implement operational improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.


Person Specification


  • Proven experience in installation or maintenance of electrical/electronic equipment.
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Familiarity with HERS registration and requirements.
  • Willingness to work in roadside environments, at heights, and during night shifts when required.
  • Strong understanding of roadside technology, including CCTV, ANPR, MIDAS, AMI, message signs, environmental sensors, traffic monitoring/control systems, electrical supplies, and networking (IP, LAN, WAN, Routing, etc.).
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel).
  • Full UK driving licence.
