- Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure network requirements align with business objectives.
- Researching and evaluating new networking technologies and solutions to enhance network capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching technologies, and network security principles.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential network issues before they impact users.
- Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
